So often, when we think of Pentecost, we immediately think of Acts 2 and the founding of the Church by the giving of the Holy Spirit, but this was not the first time God made covenant with power and fire. God first established His Kingdom with the Children of Israel at Mr. Sinai. as a theocracy, with a physical people. They were to be His people, and He was to be their God. The new covenant is an expansion of God's Kingdom of which we are citizens.
