Hope is an integral part of success in this physical life. Even more so, hope in a spiritual context serves as an anchor for our lives. The Feast of Trumpets in part pictures the first resurrection and the realization of that hope for those called in this age. Each year in our observance of this Holy time, it is beneficial to renew our vision of this fulfillment and in doing so strengthen our hope.

Devin Schulz is a pastor with the United Church of God. He and his wife, Tiffany, serve the congregations in Cedar Rapids and Des Moines, IA along with Omaha, NE. They are blessed with a son, Malachi, who was born in 2016 and a son, Jeremiah, born in 2019.
