The Sabbath (Part 4): Colossian Heresy

In this final message of the four-part series on the Sabbath, we turn to an often-quoted New Testament passage—Colossians 2:13–19. Many interpret Paul’s words about not letting others judge us regarding Sabbaths, festivals, food, or drink as a declaration that the law has been done away with. But is that truly what Paul is saying? Part 4 focuses on the context of Colossians, which holds vital clues to understanding Paul’s intent. He wasn’t dismissing God’s commands; he was confronting a dangerous heresy—one that sought to undermine God’s divine order and lead His people astray through human traditions, mysticism, and false humility. The real question is can we discern the difference between human judgment and divine order?
