Start Acting Like A Child

Acting like a child is most often considered immature, but is it?  The apostle Paul even wrote about overcoming the things of a child in I Cor 13, yet Jesus Christ instructed us to become as a little child in Matt 18.  Why are we to become as a little child if the things associated with a child are considered negative?
