Tabernacles for Today: Humility, Dependence, and Renewal

It is worth taking another look at the Feast of Tabernacles and focusing on the command for Israel to dwell in temporary shelters.  What did God want the Israelites to be thinking when they observed the Feast after they entered in the Promised Land? What can we learn from the practice of staying in shelters during the feast? What lessons and principles can we apply today that link back to what God wanted the Israelites to be focusing on? The Feast of Tabernacles is not only a picturing of the future Millenium, but also a present reminder to live humbly, depend fully on God, renew our commitment to His way, and draw closer to Him and one another.
