In this series, we have explored the existence of the 'Gap', and its implications in our lives. This gap occurs when there is a discrepancy between our expectations and the reality that we experience. When the reality doesn't meet our expectations as a result of challenges and difficulties in life, or expectations which are unrealistic - we experience negative emotions such as disappointment, anger, frustration, anxiety and other stressors. Closing that gap may not be possible for a number of reasons, so we have to bridge it. Bridging the gap appropriately requires us to submit ourselves to the Spirit of God in our life, practice and express gratitude and thankfulness, and strive for contentment in God and His purpose for us.
