Three Marriage Covenants

Both the Old Covenant and New Covenant are marriage covenants, and they are likened to God's physical marriage covenant between a man and a woman. In the Old Covenant, the one who became Jesus Christ was the husband to ancient Israel, and in the new covenant He will marry the church. These marriage covenants are based on love – the love of a husband for his wife, the love of a bridegroom for his bride to be, and the love of the Father for both the bridegroom and the bride.
