Are you given to every wave of doctrine?

Title of my message, of course, is Toss to and fro. If you'll turn with me, we'll jump right in there to Ephesians. Where are the scriptures taken from? Many of you may have heard that before. Ephesians 4, verse 11. It said, He Himself gave some to be apostles, some pastors, some evangelists, some pastors, and teachers for the equipping of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God. As Clive was talking about, the Holy Spirit does that with us, works with us on that. To the perfect man, to the measure and the stature of the fullness of Christ. Verse 14. That we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine by the trickery of men, and the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting. This phrase in the Greek, tossed to and fro, is a nautical term, meaning to be pitched by waves. Everybody here been on a boat before? Ever been on a boat with big waves? Were you tossed to and fro? Yeah, I was going to say you weren't on a boat if you weren't. The smaller the boat, the more tossed you become. And if you've been out, thankfully we live near the water, we live near the ocean, and so we come and enjoy waves. One thing we understand, Kristi, you remember that day we baptized you? Waves were coming. They came, and they came higher than Kristi is tall. And we had quite a journey, right, Jeff? Remember that being out in the water? But we got her baptized. But waves come one after another. The high waves, when every minute there's like 30 seconds, there's another wave. And then you also have some smaller waves that come when the wind dies down. And so the smaller waves are not as bad. And that's what we kind of enjoy. If you walk by the water, you kind of enjoy the sound of them lapping against the… Are we having that again? Lapping against the shore? So why would Paul use these words? Anautical term. Except that he's trying to get across that there will be one new idea after another. And then another. And then another. He experienced in all the churches he traveled to, and he knew something about it because not only was he able to enjoy some churches by water, he was able to try to survive after being shipwrecked, after being thrown into the water to actually save his life towards the end of Acts that you can read about. Well, but let's go in chapter verse 14 again. That we should no longer be… it's kind of like children?
tossed to and fro and carried away by every wind of doctrine. Children, when they're very young, you can tell them about anything and they'll believe it. It is until they get older they start that incredible, incredible word I heard so many times from my nieces and nephews. Why? Why? I need you to go over and pick that why. I need you to go. Why? That happens. Is there anybody here had children, that didn't happen? Because you're an anomaly. Yes. So Paul is trying to teach the children at Ephesus, his church members, that this is going to happen and that it's easy to be tricked. Trickery of men in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, which I find to be very interesting.
The thing that Paul stresses, and we also stress, is you need one thing, whether you're in a big boat or a little boat. You need an anchor. You need an anchor to be able to tie you down. So you're not tossed to and fro. Diane, you and your husband had a sailboat. You had to have an anchor. Now, I saw all your pictures and throw it off to keep your boat from being carried away by the waves.
Big boats have big anchors. They've actually seen a cruise ship and saw when they lowered their anchor, and it's half the size of this room. This is our anchor. This is what Paul's trying to teach his church, and hopefully what I am trying to teach today is this is what we need. This is where we go to. This will keep us from being carried about by every wind of doctrine.
By trickery of men, by the cunning craftiness of people who want a what? Following. They very seldom say, point and say, follow Christ. Remember what Paul said? Follow me as I follow Peter. Christ. Quite a few times men will say, follow me, because God's working with moi. And that's what I want to talk about because it's very important to the Church of Ephesus. And as we can see even in the book of Revelation, it's important from the time of when this book was written to the time that John was writing Revelation up until the last days.
The same thing is going to take place. And the same answer is each time be anchored by the word of God, not by the word of men. I want to touch on that today. Hopefully none of you will be offended. It's some of the things I might say because some things need to be said. Because it's so important that you are grounded. You are anchored, as I must say. Because God's Word is our anchor. And ministers, leaders, speakers especially, their words must come from the word of God, the Bible. Not because they have studied and have so many different degrees. And yes, I have a doctorate degree and divinity.
No. It has to be everything that we live for. Everything we will die for has to be anchored in this Bible. And that's why it's so important to read the Word every single day so that you are not tossed to and fro. And even play with this at one time. I have these notes in my office. I actually started with this sermon three or four months ago and thought I would just create my own doctrine and sell it to you. And it was totally false.
And I thought about doing that at the first of the message and then show how wrong I actually am compared to the Bible. But my fear was people would turn it off if they're watching on the internet, call the home office and say, we've got proof of what he's doing. We knew we didn't like him anyway. He walks around too much, talks too much, and doesn't use enough notes. No, I want you to understand how it comes about because to Paul this was very important.
Quite a few churches. But Ephesus was actually the church that he spent the most time in. It's the church that John, when he was released from Patmos, came and, they think, spent his last years there. But you can also see from Revelation, not a few problems, not a few issues. They lost their first love. And so this was part of what this is about today because first, what happens first? The wind or the waves? Oh, very good. I had a man ask me one time, what causes wind?
Yeah, because he's a very smart man. I said, God. He didn't really say anything else. But wind, when you feel it and you can feel it, it's like pneuma, the rock. It's compared to wind. Not that I knew what you were going to speak on, I never do. But you can usually feel it. And sometimes that feels really good. It's hot, there's a cool breeze going in. But sometimes wind doesn't feel too good, especially if you're going through a hurricane. And all of us, basically, I believe everybody here has probably gone through a hurricane or later. Or the tornadoes that spawn off of that.
That can be sometimes even more dangerous. But it's wind. And wind, you see it, you recognize it, and know that it can do damage. As you have made all kinds of repairs when I was over in Jamaica. And we saw what wind did to those houses, to those roofs. And then you have waves, which we all really enjoy. I enjoy walking by the water. It's why I like going to a feast site that has water, has a beach. It reminds me of what I want my kingdom to look like, except it won't be mine. I got to go with his. But it's so nice and relaxing. Also, she tells you how small you are when you look out at the ocean. But it's beautiful to see those waves. But have you ever been caught in a wave that was too big? Or the undertow? Because of those waves, it can be very dangerous. Almost lost my wife in Barbados one time because of that. She got out and didn't realize how far it was. And the waves were so we couldn't even see the top of her head when they... But thankfully she was able to fight her way through. And a lifeguard came out there and I just went... Because I thought, do I jump in and do save her? But then I know where she's at, and I can see where she's at. Or if I went in, I couldn't see where she's at. But I yelled to the lifeguard and went out there. The undertow was so strong. Waves were so big that day. Waves can be dangerous. Anybody who's had a home on the ocean realizes as a riptide or various things can come through. So waves can be destructive and they can be beautiful. God's truth can be destructive if used in the wrong way, but it's a beautiful thing also. So I'd like to look at these scriptures. I'm gonna have to undo this thing. Maybe not. I'll try.
Is that the Holy Spirit speaking? I think it is. Yeah. Is it saying something we can interpret or is it a different language?
So what am I... what is Paul talking about when he talks about in this 14th verse? Fraud. He's talking about frauds. You ever known frauds? We've got some frauds in this country now. I guess we've always had them in one way or another. The trickery of men, the cunning, craftiness, deceitfulness. This actual verse in one of the books that I have put it an interesting way. I looked this up and I had to read it twice to understand it. But it said the terms used means properly speaking error in the sense of strain from the way of truth.
Means properly speaking error, which tells you they know they're speaking error, but they're putting it in such a way that you would have to know the subject before you could go That's not right.
So what is it saying? It's saying that these frauds are doing this intentionally. That they're intentionally trying to deceive by the trickery. I want to look at Paul addressing this another time. If you will join me in the book of Acts. I mean in the book of Acts chapter 20 and verse 29. It says, for I know this. Okay, who's he talking to? Okay, the church. And if you look in verse 17, he's talking about Ephesus, where he gave this. And he says in verse 29, for I know that after my departure, savage wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock. Also from among you yourselves, men will rise up, speaking perverse things, to draw away the disciples after themselves. Does that go on today? Oh, yes. I was just watching a video this morning. Mary goes, are you listening to him again? I said, yes, can't help it. This guy is so blatant. And bless, I like to see their ways, the way they put things. But it says, one says grievous wolves, one says savage wolves. Anybody here ever had a pet wolf? I didn't think so. People typically don't make pets out of wolves, do they? Why? Because they're animals, and they're vicious, and they can cause damage.
There is one thing about a wolf, and there are different kind of wolves, there are different sizes of wolves. As a matter of fact, there are some that get to 170, 180 pounds. They've even known a wolf would be over 200 pounds. That's a big animal, and when they're that big, they're almost here. They're at my waist high on their all fours. Vicious! And the one thing they found about wolves, they're bloodthirsty. They love to kill. Now, they do not do it for sport as commonly as thought sometimes of that wolf, but because they run in packs, typically the lead wolf will go and kill for the entire pack. A wolf kills, and each way, if he can, the blood is still warm, and each the organs first, and then he'll leave the rest of the meat for the rest of the pack. Even they eat even the skin. Nothing is hardly left but the bones. They'll even take the bones and carry them on for a while.
As a matter of fact, up in Alaska, when we were, when it became a state, and we were learning more and more about it, we found that the Eskimos up there, or the Indians, were up there. They, they had trouble at one time with wolves, but they didn't have any trouble like the other ranchers and people who raised stuff did. So they went to them and asked, what do you do? How do you keep the wolves? And he, so they told them how they did it, how the guy read the wolves, we as a country, we outlawed it. And we've never been able to solve the wolf problem since. But they understood the nature of a wolf, a savage wolf, a grievous wolf. And so they would actually take a long knife, this long, and they would kill something and let it set in the blood, the knife set in the blood. And they would actually then take it over a fire and cook that blood on that knife until it had become even part of the knife. Then they would take it out, and they would put it in a piece of wood on the ground so it couldn't move and put stuff over it. And then they would put some small animal over it. And the lead wolf would then come and grab the small animal and start licking the knife. Lick it and lick it trying to get the blood, because they're bloodthirsty animals. They would keep licking until pretty soon their tongue was bleeding and pretty soon some piece of their tongue would actually come off because they couldn't stop licking. They were so bloodthirsty that they just kept going until they would actually die, bleed to death themselves. So they were to get rid of it. We came in and said, that's cruel. We stopped it, or tried to in some places it's still used. Why do I tell that story? Because this is what Paul is teaching us about these people. They're not bloodthirsty. They're spirit thirsty. They want to take your spirit. They want to take your eternal life. They want you to follow them no matter where it takes you. Do not care. And he said these they would come in, not sparing the flock. And he said also men would rise up from the very congregation. Speaking perverse things to draw away. Imagine you seeing a wolf. We got in the door over there. I don't know how many people could get in this back room, but I think all of you could. Why? Because they're bloodthirsty. They're vicious animals. Well, that's the picture, the anthropomorphic picture, that Paul is trying to picture us understanding that they're humans, but they're like wolves. It's a warning to us. It's a warning to that church. What saves us from a wolf?
The anchor. The anchor. No wolf is going to get you if you're grounded and have this as your anchor, because you know the truth. No trickery, no craftiness, because you have to stick to the truth.
Go with me to Revelation. Revelation chapter 2. Revelation chapter 2 verse 1. Oh, to the angel of the church of Ephesus. You see a theme here that's going through? It said, to the angel of the church at Ephesus, write, These things, says he who holds the seven stars in his right hand, who walks in the midst of the seven golden lampstands, I know your works, your labor, your patience, because he's writing to the church, and that you cannot bear those who are evil, and you have tested those who say they are what? Apostles, and they're not. You ever heard that? They're apostles and they're not, and have found them to be liars, deceivers. I think of the scripture. I stick to this Bible. I stick to the book.
Who are the apostles in the Bible? Give me one. Give me two. Come on now. Peter, Paul, James, all the disciples, right, except for Judas. Matthew, wasn't it? Yeah, Matthew was a follower, right? So all those disciples, the twelve, and I take it Matthias was too, because he joined them, became apostles, and we were added to Paul, we were added James, Jesus, half-brother. Anyone else? What do all those names have in common?
They're apostles. They were disciples. Okay, John, say that again. They have seen the Lord, and they were actually taught by him, even Paul, right? Remember the Arabian Desert? Okay, anybody else? Anybody else in Scripture? I mean, there's a whole bunch of names in here.
No, no. He said, you said they were apostles, or not. If I'm using this Bible, this anchor, and this anchor alone, you know what I find out? I can't call anybody an apostle, unless they were taught directly by Jesus Christ at time, just like John said in person. Now, somebody can call themselves one. You know, well, we did a, let's see, Jonathan, were you over there? No, I don't think you were over there in Bahamas. I did a funeral, big funeral. There were 400 people there in this church, and there was a parking place right there up front. They let me park right up front, and then they had me sit right up front. But there in the parking right beside me was the apostle. That was her name. Apostle, whatever you remember her name. I don't remember her name. Well, it was apostle this, and she introduced herself as the apostle before she introduced me. I didn't have any problem with that, because she's not who I follow. But if we're going to stick to this, I can't. I can't wreck. Maybe you can. Maybe it doesn't bother you to call somebody an apostle. It bothers me, because if I'm going to live by this word, I'm going to live by it. I'm going to go, well, yeah, that sounds pretty good. No. And yet we have many. And as he said, there's, they showed up at the church and said they were a puzzle. Well, it was a pretty small number back then. I think they would have been known, don't you? What it's going to be.
So I let people make their own, but I'm just saying we stick to this. There is a movie out quite a few years ago, and it was a movie about waves. It was a movie about wind. And the movie was called The Perfect Storm. Did anybody ever see that? Some of you have. Most have. Not exactly a happy, happy joy, joy movie, but it was an actual event that took place. Actual people that the actors were representing who disappeared in that storm.
I can even hear that, and I'm glad I'm not on a boat. But it was a combo of fronts that came through. Northeastern and a hurricane. And it was, it was, that's why they called it The Perfect Storm, because it hardly ever happens. But it happened that day that everything came together. It was a wind and waves. It was dangerous. Everything. Two waves were even 70 foot high out there that day that these fishermen lost their lives.
The Perfect Storm. Could it happen to you? Spiritually. Could the Perfect Storm happen to you? That all of a sudden there's deceitfulness. There's a trickery of men. There's a cunning craftiness to where you're tossed to and fro by waves you haven't never even thought existed. Because they had talked about these, The Perfect Storm before, but an author actually titled it. He was putting there because it was just everything happened. Boom! Could it happen to you? Could there be a spiritual Perfect Storm that could take you out? That could drown you? Our example of something like that is pretty good because can't say it was a Perfect Storm, but it was a storm.
So bad it scared former sailors. They thought they were going to die. And they were on this little boat and incredible waves came up. And they went to their leader, Jesus Christ, who happened to be sleeping in the bottom of the boat in the very back, sleeping like a baby. And they came and said, help us save us! We're going to die. I'm sure he was going.
As they were all just, you know, this is it. This is the end.
Imagine him just coming to sea. And then he said, why are you fearful? Oh, you of little faith. They had God in their presence who made the wind, who created water, who created the entire earth. And he's sitting there and he's sleeping and he's going, you really got to wake me up for this? That's our example. That's a credible example for us that when the storms come, even the perfect storm, if you're anchored with Christ, you're anchored by this, the Word of God. I hope you too can say, when people come screaming, we're all going to die. Why are you so fearful? Oh, you of little faith. Because God's got this. Always has, always will be. But as we look at that Ephesians 4, it says, every wind of doctrine, every wind of doctrine. Do you know the doctrine that is in this Bible? Do you know what's doctrine and what's not? I know what's doctrine is, what it says is doctrine. I know there's also good examples in here. There's good words over here. There's like, you know, Proverbs has a lot of wise sayings, but that's not doctrine, is it? No. You want to stick to the word? Let's go look at doctrine. Because I don't want you to be tossed to and fro or decide you need to jump ship because it's a little rough, because there's some winds coming. But you know doctrine. Where do we find doctrine? In Hebrews. In Hebrews. Let's go there. Hebrews chapter 6. Hebrews chapter 6. It's all in two verses. Well, maybe three. No, that's really two. Okay, I'll be reading from a New King James Version. Therefore, leaving the discussions of the elementary principles of Christ, because Hebrews had a problem with who Christ was, where He came from, everything else, He's having to explain that to them. They didn't have any problem with some major doctrine, did they? They didn't have any problems with the book of Deuteronomy, did they? No. They had problems with this Christ thing. He said, let us go on to perfection, not laying again the foundation of repentance. Oh, there's a doctrine. The foundation of repentance. Isn't that a doctrine of the Church? Don't we need to repent? Yes, that's a doctrine. We teach it. You've got to repent. What do you repent of? Sin. Where sin is described to us. Yeah, what is the law? It's basically laid out as the Ten Commandments, not Ten Suggestions, but the Ten Commandments. So here, that's one of the foundations, is repentance.
A foundation of repentance from dead works. What's dead works? And don't tell me the opposite of live works. But it's something there to think about. Dead works where you know the works and you don't do them. A lot of the world knows stuff that they should do something, but they don't do it. They don't do it. It's dead works. Again, the foundation of the repentance from dead works and of faith towards God. Is faith a doctrine? Yes! Faith is a doctrine. Without faith, it is what? Impossible. Not probable, not likely, maybe, no. It says in Hebrews 11, without faith, it is impossible to please who? God. So that's why it is a doctrine. He said of faith towards God, of the doctrine of baptism. Do we believe in baptism? Is baptism a doctrine? Yes, it should be. It is right here. It's listed here. Is there more than one baptism? No, sort of. What's a baptism of fire? Uh-huh. Baptism. Yes, there is one. There's a baptism of salvation. Paul actually talks about being baptized by the Spirit, which is part of being immersed in water and being a baptism of water. But yeah, that's important. That's foundational to us. We should be able to teach that. We should know that. And then he goes of laying on of hands. So here's another doctrine. Laying on of hands. What does that mean? That means I can just smack any of you around. I lay my hands on you like my dad used to tell me. What is laying on of hands? Emporia and the Holy Spirit. I had hands laid upon me when I was made an elder, but there's also laying on of hands for what? Healing. Yes, and it represents what? That these hands are holy. Oh, I have holy hands. No. The oil in which we do that, we ask God. We pray over that oil, and because it's laid out for us in Scripture, the oil is symbolic of God's Holy Spirit.
And then it says the resurrection of the dead. Is that a doctrine? Yes.
And then it says the last one of eternal judgment. What's eternal judgment? It's tied to what? Tied to the resurrection. Eternal judgment means it's eternal judgment of eternal life or eternal death. That is what it all comes down to, isn't it? We have two choices. I sat before you life and death. It's all the way back, so it's been a story. And he said, choose what? Why? It's not that big a deal, is it? Yes. Yes. It is a big deal. So those I just gave you by Scripture are the doctrines of this book. It's what I believe. So let me ask you this.
Is a place of safety a doctrine? It's not listed there, is it? Is there a place where it's mentioned a place of safety in one place? Yes. But is it listed right there with this? No. No.
I'm at the hundred-year period of time. You remember when that was taught? Is it taught anymore? Sometimes I've heard guys still teach it. Is that a doctrine? No. It comes from Isaiah 65, doesn't it? One place. It's not a doctrine, but yet you have men building an entire church, an entire ministry of these little things. You better follow me or you won't be in the place of safety.
There's a doctrine.
Are there things? Are things debatable? Yes. Are they something you may want to discuss? Yes, but they're not doctrine. They're not proven text from the Bible. They're outside of the doctrines that are listed. What's the most important thing? The doctrines that are listed, not what somebody comes up with.
So let's talk. And I hope you're not offended by this, but you know what real deception is? Because that's what this whole thing is about fraud, trickery, crafty. Exactly what I didn't know what I was going to talk on, but Trinity. Is it a doctrine? It's not in there, is it? Doesn't exist as we know it. Paul was so stupid that when all the books he wrote, he addressed God and Christ and forgot. Oh, man, I forgot. The Holy Spirit guy is over here, too. No, he never mentioned one time. None of the disciples mentioned in the Holy Spirit. So it's not a doctrine, but I knew a high up minister in this church at one time who believed in the Trinity. Now, he didn't get too many following, but he left and just like Paul said, do it. Rise up, start his own thing. Christ is a created being. Hey, there's a guy higher than I was in this church that taught that.
He still does. He's no longer with us. Start his own thing. Christ is a created being. You think that doesn't happen? Exactly what I've seen it. Now, do we make a big deal out of it? You know, here, let me do I put the guy's pictures and names up here? No, that's not my job. My job is to warn you that it's happened before and it can happen again. Not that I think the guy is going to replace me is going to teach it, but what if he does? Are you strong enough for the way? Throw him out, you said. Put him on a pole, run him over a rail. No, but what we have to look at these things because they're going to come back. They all make their rounds and there's other things. Um, the black Jewish theology that the Jews were originally black. And you can go to there's been families of Jews and Arabs that have been in the Holy Land and Palestine for 3000 years. You can go and you can check the DNA. You can check everything, but there are people who actually teach that the blacks were the original Jews.
Yes.
Yes. All right. There's there's books. I have a book there that this guy wrote and gave it to me personally autographed for me. So like, no, as a matter of fact, this brought up by one of my members that said, well, you know, the original Jews were black. And I said, well, if I was a Jew, I wouldn't be bragging about it because they're the least of the least. But I said, he's I said, you really believe that that the that the original Jewish people were black. And he said, yes. I said, then you need I said, you believe that with all your being. And he said, yes. I said, then you have no choice than to get on an airplane and fly over there and tell the Arab to stop killing those people because they're killing the wrong people and they start killing you blacks.
He said, well, I never thought about that.
Well, he didn't fly over. Now, that also brings up the other one of I've heard a doctrine of white superiority, like the whites are something to brag about. God never said that. No, God doesn't play favorites. He gives gifts and abilities and talents to all his children. And beside. I'm not. I'm not of. He from a manassas race that people put that out as well. We're from a NASA and we're like this. I'm not there. I'm a German. I'm almost my, you know, so I'm worse. I killed a bunch of Jews. Israelites and captured him, put him on. I mean, I don't. What? What does Paul say? There are neither Jew nor Gentile. It's not. It is. And you look at DNA. They bring this stuff up. We're so mixed up as a country and people from all over from five hundred to a thousand years ago. Nobody's here. But yet, people want to like, well, yeah, look at this white race. Well, yeah, if you think that you're an idiot, I don't mind saying it. Because I know a lot of black people. I know a lot of Oriental people. I know a lot of brown people that are a lot smarter than these people who claim that. And God says that's not what it's about. So so what am I pointing to the doctrine? What's the doctrine of important? Not being caught up by these. Strings. These things that people do.
Reward. This is this one around the church, too, a few years ago. It'll make its way that really the reward of the righteous is in heaven.
No, yes. And people believed it because they took a few scriptures here and somebody, boy, finessed those and and everything else. And you're going to be with God and they brought all this stuff out with that and they left out many of the others. Oh, and this this was a good one. Believe that God used when he created there, he used evolution. Yes, that he believed evolution. And there was way back. Yes, this went around the church and it will come back. Oh, and Melchizedek was actually a human.
And that was brought up and that angels mating with humans cause produce giants. Even when Christ said that they can't reproduce their neither male nor female, but yet they have people believe in this. And I got one of the articles and I read it and it's like, wow, that's if I didn't know the Bible, it might even sound convincing. Waves, brethren, waves.
I bring this up because I don't want anybody caught unaware. I don't want you to have to go through that. Now, one man, one said one time, stick to the trunk of the tree. I don't agree with that. Okay, stick to an anchor. This anchor, this is not a tree. This is an anchor. And that's good. What he had to do, but I say, find your anchor. Stick to this anchor. You can't get away from this. You'll never go wrong with this. That's what's to me is very, very important. Cruise ships. You ever been on one? They're big ships. Some of them are huge, huge. They're stable. You out there, you're out there, you know. But even the Titanic sank. They're not your anchor. You may think, oh, well, if I'm in a big enough church, that's a good anchor. No, it's not. If I'm in a certain church, that's a good anchor. No, it's not. This is your anchor. Don't get away from that.
Let's go. Finish this up. Finish this up. Hebrews 6 and verse 19. Since we're in Hebrews. Hebrews 6 and verse 19.
He says, this hope we have as an anchor of the soul. This hope we have is as an anchor to the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters the presence behind the veil where the forerunner entered for us. Even Jesus, having become high priest forever, according to the order of Melchizedek. The writer of Hebrews is telling us that Christ is our anchor. He tells us, know the Word of God. He even told Satan that, remember? Man should not live by booklets some church puts out. No, it's this very important thing. So I bring this up, not to give you consternation, not to make you think, well, is the church going to teach something else? Is some guy going to come in and teach something else? They always have. Face it. I mean, going to God's church for 50 years, there's always been somebody teaching something that's not doctrinal, that's not grounded in the Bible.
You're not to be tossed to and fro by every wind of doctrine. This is your responsibility. That's what I'm trying to tell you. And if there is, I hope this church here is strong enough to, as you said, run him off. Run him off! And say, nope, you don't teach that here. Can you imagine the people would have been saved from being thrown overboard if churches had been grounded in the Word more? The people in the future? Say, nope. We don't want to hear that here, because that's not grounded in here. And what did I say when I came here 14 years ago? I said, if I teach something that's not biblical based, it's your job. It's your responsibility to point that out to me. It's your job to help me make it to the kingdom. It's my job to help you make it to the kingdom of God. That's the truth. So are you ready for the perfect storm? Really? Are you ready? Oh, you may think you do. You may think you are. But what happens when there's a hurricane here? We have plenty of notice, don't we? And yet, you know, what happens the last day? I mean, we know three days before, but the last day before it hits, what do you have? You have no gas. You have people standing in line. They're the the the the the coverage are stripped. Everything is this because they waited to the last moment. Brethren, don't wait to the last moment till storm comes. Be prepared. This is your anchor.
You are ready for the storm. You're ready for any storm that comes your way, just like Jesus Christ on that boat. I don't want you to worry. I want you to be just like Jesus Christ. I want you to sleep like a baby. Because when it comes, you're ready. Because you are if this and this alone is your anchor.
