The Truth That Leads to Godliness

Beginning in the Gospel of John chapter 6, where many disciples turned away from Christ’s hard teachings, this message explores the vital difference between academically knowing Scripture and spiritually living it. Drawing heavily from Paul’s pastoral letters—especially 1 Timothy, 2 Timothy, Titus, and 2 Thessalonians—we learn that all biblical teaching must aim at developing true Godliness, not merely winning arguments or mastering doctrine. Sound doctrine is not just accurate instruction; it is truth applied in a way that transforms character, produces love, and aligns believers with God’s nature. Without the goal of Godliness, study becomes empty and vulnerable to deception.
