We all labor under a divided value system--the value system of God, and the value system inspired by the carnal human mind--which creates cognitive dissonance in our lives. We can look into the Bible and find examples of the wrong ways to resolve the stress caused by cognitive dissonance. But in God's word, we also find instruction for the right ways to address our divided values and guide us into the way of godly life.
