Walking the Straight and Narrow Path

How we can be deceived and how to walk the straight and narrow path.

Can we be deceived?

I Cor. 10:12

Matt. 7:13-14 --> Enter by the narrow gate, beware of false prophets who come in sheep's clothing.

We have to be on guard like the birds on the feeder.

4 Ways We Can be Deceived.

Satan uses these four approaches to knock us off the straight and narrow path.

1.)  Create a distracting environment.

We are bombarded with media.  Satan will use these tools to get us off our path.

Rom. 12:2 --> Do not be conformed to the world.  Prove what is good and acceptable.  Be careful what Satan is trying to do to distract us.

The end of this

2.)  Wind - An invisible force.

Satan has his own invisible wind.  We need to stay with a balanced approach.  There are a lot of winds of doctrine out there that can blow us off course.

Eph. 4:14 --> We should no longer be babes in the truth and be carried by every wind in doctrine.

3.) Taking Protection from God for granted.

Psalms 46:1

We cannot avoid the danger signs.

I Sam. 28

Saul forsook God's protection and his life ended in death when the Philistines overtook him.

I Peter 4:12

Blessed is the man who endures temptation.

4.)  Being blindsided by an unexpected attack.

We can be blind-sided sometimes by a finery trial.  God has a lot invested in us and Satan is trying to ruin us.

John 14:6 --> I am the way, the truth, and the light.

Matt: 24:22 --> Love of many will wax cold.
