From Wave Sheaf to One Body: Called and Gathered Together

In Leviticus 23:9–17, the accepted Wave Sheaf comes first, and only then does the counting begin toward the gathered firstfruits offering; this points us to Jesus Christ, the accepted Firstfruits before our Father, through whom the called body and bride are gathered. In Romans 15:4–13, Paul shows that what was written before was given for our instruction, endurance, encouragement, harmony, welcome, and hope, so that Jew and Gentile together may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, as children and saints of the Most High, we are not called into isolated faith, private fields, or selective welcome, but into shared mercy, faithful nearness, practical care, and steady witness. How are we called and made one? We are called through Jesus Christ, gathered by our Father’s mercy, joined to one another in truth and love, and made one as a people who welcome those He brings near while proclaiming the hope of His coming Kingdom.
