In Proverbs 14:12 the Bible says the ways of man lead to death. in this sermon Mr. Smith completes his sermon on the way we should live by looking at four sections of the Bible that speak of "the way" or "the way of the LORD." First he shows us that in the New Testament the term "the way" is used to describe the church prior to the usage of the term Christianity. He next looks at passages in Psalms and II Samuel that speak of David striving to live according to the way of the LORD. Thirdly, he looks at prophecies of Christ's future rule on the earth. One of these passages shows people will be told "this is the way walk you in it" when they are tempted to turn from God's ways. And finally he shows that there also warnings in the New Testament for us not to turn from the ways of God.
Gary Smith

Gary Smith was born in Charlotte, North Carolina, but spent most of his youth in the Pasadena, California area. He graduated from Ambassador College in 1976 and he and his wife, Liz, moved to Peoria, Illinois. For the next six years he worked as a nursing home administrator in Illinois, Ohio, and Texas.
In 1982, he and Liz began to serve in the full-time ministry. Since that time, they have served in a number of congregations in the Midwest.
Gary and Liz now pastor in Houston, Texas near their two children and grandson.
Apart from pastoring, Gary enjoys hiking, playing and watching sports, reading and spending time with family.
