In Matthew 23, Christ pronounces eight woes exposing the hypocrisy of the scribes and Pharisees and their neglect of the weightier matters of the law. How we approach and apply God's law in our lives matters. What are the weightier matters of the law, and how do we properly implement them in our lives?

Joe Greene

Joe has been a member of God’s Church since 1984.  He and his wife Brenda have spent their careers working with persons with disabilities of all ages.  Joe holds a Masters Degree in Education. Together, Joe and Brenda have been able to serve God’s people in Illinois, Wisconsin and now in Virginia.  Joe was ordained a local elder in April of 2011 and was hired by the United Church of God in 2023 to pastor the Richmond and Roanoke congregations in Virginia, along with serving as the Human Resource Manager for the Church.
