A few days in our lives result in life-changing, life-altering events that can affect us for good or bad for the rest of our lives. Events such as marriage, baptism and conversion, or catastrophes can alter our lives from that moment on. What a difference a day made in the lives of Joseph, Job, the Apostle Peter, and the Apostle Paul! Joseph went from being a slave in a dungeon to being the second in command under Pharaoh over all the great nation of Egypt. Job awoke one day with 10 children and thousands of sheep, camels, oxen, and donkeys. God allowed Satan to destroy all of these. Later God allowed Satan to afflict Job with painful boils all over his body. When God brought Job to see himself, Job repented; and God blessed Job with another 7 sons and 3 beautiful daughters and twice as many livestock. The Apostle Peter went from denying Christ the night before his crucifixion to preaching a powerful sermon on Pentecost after God had sent the Holy Spirit to the disciples with tongues of fire. Three thousand members were added to the Church of God that day. The Apostle Paul went from one who hated the Church of God and attempted to destroy the Church to one who was entrusted with preaching the gospel to the Gentiles. Paul was struck down by Jesus on the way to Damascus on his way to arrest those who followed the Way of God. God used Paul in a mighty way to preach the gospel to the Gentiles, to write 14 books of the New Testament, and to raise up many church congregations. What a difference a day made in the lives of Joseph, Job, the Apostle Peter, and the Apostle Paul!
