Using stories as a teaching tool has existed for millennia. Jesus used stories to teach lessons with parables, but those who heard were not to understand. The understanding was for the disciples. That is, us. If we are the audience for His lessons, do we draw the appropriate lessons for ourselves? We take a deeper look at one parable to draw such lessons: the Parable of the Sower.
