What Will The Future Bring?

Today, we live under many threats a number of which could change the world we live in overnight. That begs this question: How much longer will we have to worship God with the freedoms we now possess? What will the future bring? That is the question we will ask and answer in today's sermon.

This sermon was given at the Lake George, New York 2018 Feast site.

I'm Matthew 16, Timothy 3.1 to get into my message. We are living in very perilous times, very dangerous times, and very stressful times. We live under the threat of North Korea, under the threat of Iran and Russia, under the threat of terrorism and potential terrorists right here in the United States and other areas around the world as well. We're also now living under the threat of being a deeply divided nation. I don't think in all my years I've ever seen a nation more divided than it is now, probably going back to the Civil War, maybe. But we have increasing violence. I mean, it's horrible to watch the news. A week doesn't go by where some horrible act of violence is not reported. We're deeply divided and with increasing violence, where innocent victims die every week, many of them women and children, not just here but also in other areas around the world as well. But when it comes to being a deeply divided nation, as we can all see now in very dramatic ways, what threat and what scripture comes immediately to our mind? I'm just going to quote it. Matthew 12, 25. Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation. And every city or house divided against itself will not stand. We now are a very divided nation and we're now a house which is divided against itself. So the question then becomes, how much longer will it stand? How much longer will a nation stand before we destroy ourselves from within? How much longer will we have to worship God with the freedoms that we now possess? We all have here today. What will the future bring? That's the question I want to ask and answer today's sermon. Prognosticate generally predicts two overall futures, one very dark, very gloomy, the other very bright and glamorous. So today there are several means by which mankind can destroy all life from off the face of the earth. The most urgent at the particular time of right now is through nuclear destruction. I didn't think too much about that for a long time, but now it's kind of coming to the fore again, especially with Kim Jong-un of North Korea having nuclear weapons. And you're not sure, you know, would he ever use them? Would he be mad enough to do that? The other future, particularly by some prognosticators, is that advancing science and technology will create a glittering, glamorous world of their making, which will then bring about a growing standard of living for all and increasing the fluency to the majority of the world's population. But that prognostication has one fatal flaw. They intend to do that without God and without the word of God. Today, then, I want to look very briefly at those two prognostications, those predictive futures, and then we'll look at the future as predicted by the word of God. And as portrayed by this piece of tabernacles that we're now observing, my title is, What Will the Future Bring? What Will the Future Bring? Number one, will it end in nuclear destruction?

Now, you may not be real familiar with this particular date, but something very, very important happened that changed the entire course of the world on July 16, 1945.

On July 16, 1945, when I was only four years old, at precisely 5.30 a.m. on that morning, the first atom bomb was tested in the desert area in New Mexico.

They didn't have any idea how it was going to go. They didn't know what was going to be in there. They were testing it for the first time. They knew it was going to be a tremendous explosion, but they wanted to observe it, so they had these men in a bunker, I think it was about three miles away and 15 feet underground. And they had one open for a front one where they could kind of peer up and watch it with special glasses.

And they had a bomb-protected bunker in the back of that. They had Geiger counters there. When the bomb exploded, they also realized that the front was in the front. The Geiger kind of went off the roof. Excuse me, run off the roof. I went off the stand. But it read so high that they had to hurtly, they realized they were going to die of radiation poisoning. They didn't get into the back room, the bucket room, which was safer. They had 15-foot walls of cement all around it. Even there, the Geiger counter was going real high where they knew they wouldn't last very long.

And they had to call for emergency to get them out there and get them out away from there because they knew they were going to die of radiation. It was 10 times more powerful than any of them ever expected. At that precise moment, at 5.30 a.m. on July 16, 1945, mankind entered the nuclear age. And Matthew 24 verse 22 became a reality. Let's turn there. I want to read it. Matthew 24 verses 21 and 22. Actually, both of those verses. Matthew 24 or 21, where Christ said, For then there will be great tribulation, the time leading up to his return.

Such as not then since the beginning of the world until this time, nor nor ever shall be. Unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved. That is, no flesh would be saved alive if those days were not shorter. That reality became possible at 5.30 a.m. on July 16, 1945. Now, we all know what happened on August 6 and August 9 with the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, where just two bombs killed over 200,000 people, with thousands of more permanently injured or scarred for life. Now, thankfully, that ended World War II. Thankfully, this never happened again, which has given God's Church time to fulfill his two-fold commission.

It's a two-fold commission of preaching the gospel of the Kingdom of God to the world as a witness, and of making disciples of all men. Now, the latter part of verse 22 is very encouraging and pertains directly to all of us. Why will the future not end in nuclear destruction? In the end of verse 22. But for the elect's sake, those days will be shortened. For the sake of those of us who are now being trained to rule with Christ at his return, those days shall be shortened.

For the sake of all of us who are here today. So, the world's not going to end in nuclear holocaust. The hands of some madman, like Kim Jong Un, as some prognosticators predict could happen. What about the second prognostication? Will it end with science and technology creating a glittering new world? A new world without acknowledging God or the word of God?

I want to talk about an Israeli author. An Israeli author by the name of Yuval Noah Harari, who's a professor at Hebrew University in Israel, in Jerusalem. He published a book in Hebrew in 2015. The English language version was published in the United States in February 2017. The title is Homo Dius, H-O-M-O-D-E-U-S. Homo deals a brief history of tomorrow. The premise outlines that during the 21st century, humanity is lucky to make a significant attempt to gain happiness and immortality with godlike powers through the advancement of science and technology. You know how far our computers are now? Computers are now being created with artificial intelligence that at times has trumped human intelligence.

On February 10, 1996, quite a while ago, IBM's Deep Blue computer defeated world chess champion Gary Kopporoff, Russia. Since then, computers with artificial intelligence have far surpassed that of Deep Blue. Recently, an EMI computer with artificial intelligence in music was created. EMI standing for Experiments in Musical Intelligence. In one day, this computer with artificial intelligence in music created 5,000 corrals and compositions all across the world. 5,000 in one day.

Computers with artificial intelligence now only store information. They can now use that stored information to create.

What would happen if a computer with artificial intelligence became more intelligent than man? That's what this book is about. Homodios means human, God. Homo, human, or man. And dios, God. Homodios, man, God. Man becoming like God through artificial intelligence, a computer. The other then suggests the possibility of the replacement of mankind with a superman or homodios endowed with the ability to gain eternal life.

The author then suggests this possibility on page 332. I want to quote it on page 332 of the book Homodios, A Beef History of Tomorrow. Once artificial intelligence surpasses human intelligence, it might simply exterminate mankind. The AI would likely do so either for fear that humankind would turn against it and try to pull the plug or in pursuit of some unfathomable goal of its own. For it would be extremely difficult for humans to control the motivation of a system smarter than themselves. I thought when I read that, I thought about a movie that came out a long time ago, possibly the 1968 movie, 2001, A Space Odyssey. Some of you might have seen that, where the onboard spaceship's computer, HAL, began killing everyone on board so it could then take full control of the spaceship. HAL being the abbreviation for heuristic, algorithmic, or for an advanced computer having artificial intelligence.

That's not going to happen. And mankind will not create a glittery new world apart from God. Why not? Let's read the answer in Scripture. Let's go to Jeremiah 17. Jeremiah 17.

Jeremiah 17. Very familiar Scripture. We've all read this many times. Jeremiah 17 verse 9. Because you've got another problem here, it's got to be solved first. It says, The human heart is deceitful of all things, and desperately wicked, and who can know it? It's a good question. Who can know that about themselves? Only those to whom God has opened their minds and hearts to know it. They're the only ones that can really know it. God has to show it to reveal it to us. What did the Apostle Paul write to the church at Rome? Let's go to Romans chapter 8.

Romans chapter 8, beginning in verse 5.

It shows that humans are like what we are. For those who live according to the flesh, set their minds on the things of the flesh. But those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded, which we all are, we all are our own human minds. A human way of thinking and doing things is death. But to be spiritually minded is life and peace. And the only way to be spiritually minded is to have God's Spirit. Because the carnal mind, the natural human mind, is enmity against God, is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be. So science and technology will never be able to create a glittery new world of peace and harmony apart from God. Why not? Because first, human nature must be changed in order to have a new world. It's got to change human nature. And the other thing, Satan, who was the God of this world, is going to have to be put away. Those two things are going to have to happen if we can have a glittery new world. See, mankind's problems are spiritual, and they require a spiritual solution. So the future of the world will not end in a holocaust. It will not end with supercomputer with artificial intelligence replacing humankind. It's not going to depend on science and technology to have a glittery new world. It's going to depend on the people of God who are being called now and worked with. But what then is a third pernostication for the future? See, what will the future really bring? According to scripture, according to God's Word, the future is going to bring seven major changes, and these seven changes are absolutely going to astound the entire world. The world's going to just be astounded. They couldn't believe it. If they'd be taught to tell them now, they wouldn't understand it. But it's going to bring seven major changes that will astonish the entire world. And all of us here at this feature tavern have been called to participate in those seven changes. So let's now look at seven events which are going to take place and have an important role to play in changing the future and what the future will bring. What is the first major event that will occur that will determine what the future will bring? Number one, it's going to bring the sign of the Son of Man appearing in heaven. The sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven. Let's go to Matthew 24. Matthew 24, verse 30 this time. Matthew 24, verse 30. Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven. And then all the tribes of the earth will mourn. They will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory, with power to change the future, and to power to prevent mankind from destroying himself. What is the next major event that will determine what the future will bring? Second major event is that the elect will be gathered from the four winds. Next verse. Matthew 24, verse 31. And he will send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together his elect from the four winds, from the one end of heaven, one end of the earth's atmosphere, we could say, to the other.

And the elect will include those who previously died in Christ. Let's go there to 1 Thessalonians, chapter 4. Not just us who are alive and are in bed. Those who died in Christ will also be included in those who are going to be gathered. 1 Thessalonians 4, verse 16. For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a shout, and with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we are alive and remain, shall be caught up together with him in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and thus we shall always be with the Lord. Which tells us what? It tells us that the elect will have a major role to play in what takes place in the future. God has come together with all the elect to be with Christ to change the future, to determine what the future is going to bring. We're all going to have tremendous roles to play.

So let's ask this question. How close are we to when these things will be fulfilled? Matthew 24, again, makes us go back to Matthew 24. Pick up where we left off. Matthew 24, begin in verse 32. Learn this parable from the fig tree. When his branch has already become tender and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near. So you also, when you see all these things, all these signs mentioned here, know that it's near at the doors. How near at the doors is it? Verse 34, assuredly I say to you, this generation that's living during this time will not completely pass away until all these things take place.

What is an earth major event that will take place? Third, Christ will return to the earth as King of kings and Lord of lords. Let's go to Revelation 19. Revelation 19, verse 6, and I heard as a word the voice of a great multitude the sound of many waters and the sound of mighty thundering, saying, Alleluia for the Lord gobed on nippet and rains. Jesus Christ reigns, he's come to the earth, he's reigning. Reigning is what? Verse 16, he has in his robe and on his thigh a name written King of kings and Lord of lords. Will the elect and all the saints who have been gathered from the four winds be with Christ when he returns? I'm just going to quote from Zechariah 14 verse 15, or verse 5, excuse me, Zechariah 14 verse 5. Thus the Lord my God will come and all the saints with you. Again, latter part of Zechariah 14.5. And as Mr. Leadbetter mentioned in his speech last night, can we even begin to imagine what that's going to be like? I don't think we can. See, what is it going to be like to be suddenly resurrected as a spirit being to meet the Lord in the air? Verse 11, the one thing the world right now desperately needs, it needs peace.

You know, over the centuries, hundreds of peace treaties have been signed by various countries only to later be broken. As prophesied by Isaiah in Isaiah 59 verses 7 and 8, wasting and destruction are in their paths the way of peace they have not known. And it says in Jeremiah 6 14, saying peace, peace when there is no peace.

What is Christ going to be called after he returns? Let's turn to Isaiah chapter 9. Isaiah chapter 9 beginning verse 6, unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given, and the government will be upon his shoulder and his name will be called Wonderful Consular Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. And of the increase of his government in peace, there will be no end. After Christ returns, he's going to be called the Prince of Peace.

From that time forward, of the increase of peace, it says there will be no end. But how is that going to be achieved? How could Christ possibly achieve peace, unending peace, and maintain unending peace in this world? What will it take in order for Christ to establish peace on the earth? After returning to the earth as King of Kings and Lord of Lords, what will happen next in determining what the future will bring? Number four, in righteousness, Christ will judge and make war. He's going to have to judge and make war. Let's go to Revelation 19.

Revelation 19 verse 11. Now I saw heaven open and behold a white horse, and he who said on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness, talking about Jesus Christ, it is returned, and in righteousness he judges and makes war. The first thing Christ will have to do is King of Kings and Lord of Lords is to make war. Why? Why must he begin his reign on the earth by making war? You think that's not how most people think of Christ, do they?

That's not how most people describe Christ, Christ is coming to the earth and making war. But how is Christ described here in the book of Revelation? I saw heaven open and behold a white horse, and he who said him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he judges and makes war. How is Christ then described? Verse 12. His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns, and he had a name written that no one knew except himself. And he was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and his name is called the Word of God. Why is he clothed in a robe dipped with blood? Because Christ is he who loved us and washed us from our sins in his own blood. Revelation 1, verse 5. As Christ judges and makes war, will armies follow him? Verse 14. And the armies in heaven clothed in linen, white and clean, followed him on white horses. Heaven here being the atmosphere of the earth. Who might these be? Who might these be who are clothed in fine linen, bright and clean, who are following him on white horses? And how did their linen become bright and clean? Let's go back to Revelation 7.

Revelation 7, beginning in verse 9. After these things they looked, and behold, a great moltu, which no one could number, of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the lamb, clothed with white robes, with farm branches in their hands. Verse 13. Then one of the elders answered, saying to me, well, who are these? Who are these raised in white robes? And where did they come from? And I said to him, sir, you know. So he said to me, these are the ones who come out of great tribulation and washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the lamb. They repented their sins, and they were now under the blood of the lamb. And the blood of Jesus Christ, as all of us are. Verse 15. Therefore they are before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his simple. And he who sits on the throne will dwell among them, and they shall neither hunger anymore nor thirst anymore.

So against whom will the fiercest of the wrath of Almighty God be against? As I just read in verse 15. Who will be fighting against us in this war? Let's go back to Revelation 19. Not, or let's go, excuse me, let's go to Revelation 19.

Revelation 19. I want to read verse 15 first. Now out of his mouth goes a sharp sword with it. He should strike the nations, and he himself will rule them with a rod of iron, and he himself treads the winepress of the fiercest of the wrath of Almighty God. Against whom will the fiercest of the wrath of Almighty God be against? Again, as I've mentioned before, who will be fighting against us in this war? Verse 19. And I saw the beast, the kings of the earth, and their armies, and gathered together to make war against him who set on the horse, and against his army that was with him. Then the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who worked signs in his presence, by which he deceived those who received the mark of the beast, and those who worshipped his image. And these two were cast alive in the lake of burning fire with brimstone. In verse 21. The rest were killed with the sword which proceeded from the mouth of whom who set on his horse, from Jesus Christ. And all the birds were filled with their flesh. So the beast, the false prophet, and the kings of the earth, and their armies will be solemnly defeated by Jesus Christ when his army, when they return. Now that that's taken place, they're defeated, will that finally bring peace to the earth? See, what will happen next that will change what the future will bring? Well, five, the next thing that's going to have to happen, Satan will be bound for a thousand years. Revelation 20, verse 1. Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, having the key to the bottomless pit, and a great chain in his hand. And he laid hold of the dragon, that serpent of all who is the devil and Satan. He bound him for a thousand years, and he cast him in the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and said, He's sealing him, so that he should deceive the nations no more, till a thousand years were finished. So once Satan is bound for a thousand years, what then will the future bring? Well, it's going to bring no more deception, no more obstruction or interference from the prince of the power of the air, whose minds the God of this world has blinded. Ephesians 2.2 and 2 Corinthians 4.4. Now that all these events have taken place, we can come to what happens next, as portrayed by this feast of tabernacles. What happens next after Satan has been put away and bound for a thousand years? What is going to happen after that? What will happen next that will determine what the future will bring? Number six. We will live and reign with Christ for a thousand years. We will reign with Christ for a thousand years. This is in verse 4. And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was committed to them. Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, who would not worship the beast or his image, and have not received his mark on their foreheads or in their hands. And they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. Will those in this first resurrection be blessed? If so, why will they be blessed? Verse 6. Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection. This is why we're going to be blessed to be in that resurrection. Why? Because over such a second death has no power. But they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him for a thousand years.

Over such a second death will have no power. As we live and reign with Christ for a thousand years, what will we be? What role will we fulfill? They shall be priests of God and of Christ, also Revelation 20 verse 6. Or as God related to the children of Israel through Moses when they came out of Egypt, as recorded in Exodus 19 6, you shall become a kingdom of priests, kingdom of teachers. In the time leading up to Satan's removal, the role will have gone through great tribulation. As you read in Matthew 24 verses 21 and 22. You'll think how people's going to be like that. Many people have gone through a great deal of adversity. They will have suffered horrendous afflictions. Never been looking for anyone who can give them an answer. What's going on? Why is this happening? How's it all going to end? Is the world going to be destroyed? We'll ever see my loved ones again. Who can give me an answer? Who has an answer? See, what will our role be at that time? Let's go back to Isaiah chapter 30. Isaiah chapter 30 verse 20. Moreover, the light of the moon will be as the light of the sun, and the light of the sun will be sevenfold, as the light of seven days, in the day that the Lord binds up the the bruise of his people, and he heals the stroke of their wounds. Whoops, that's verse 26. I want verse 20. Excuse me. Isaiah 30 verse 20. And though the Lord gives you the bread of adversity and the water of affliction, yes, your teachers will not be moved into a corner anymore. What are our roles going to be? Our role is going to be teachers. To explain to them what's happening. But your eyes shall see your teachers. We will be those teachers. What will we teach? We will all be as teachers. Verse 21. You are each, and then hear a word behind you from your teachers, saying, this is the way. This is a way to walk. Walk in this way. This is a way to walk. If you want to have peace and have good relationships with God and with other people, this is the way walk in it. And whenever you turn to the right or the hand, or whenever you turn to the left, you say, no, don't turn that way. It's the wrong way. Walk this way. This is the way. Walk you in it.

We will teach God's laws and God's way of life. We're going to teach people how to live, both in the relationship to God and the relationships to one another. And we're going to teach them about the true God. They're going to learn about the true God for the first time, the true Jesus Christ for the first time. And we'll teach them God's plan and purpose. We will teach them the Word of God.

And we'll, you know, it's amazing you look back into a little bit of history of schools, public schools in America. Most people don't realize it, but schools were originally established in America to teach them how to read. Primarily, they wanted to teach them how to read what? They wanted to teach them how to read the Bible. Can you believe that? That's why public schools came into being in America way back. Parents wanted their children to learn to read the Bible because a lot of fathers were dying in wars and it's hard for the mothers to do.

Where are we today? Today, God and the Word of God has been expelled from public schools. All that's going to be reversed when Christ returns. We will teach them how to keep the Sabbath. We'll teach them to keep all of God's annual feasts and holy days so they can learn and be taught God's plan of salvation. Will that include keeping the feasts of tabernacles? 2 Corinthians 14 2 Corinthians 14, verse 16. It should come to pass that everyone who was left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem should go out from year to year to worship the King, the Lord of Holst, and to keep the feast of tabernacles. What's going to happen if they refuse to do that? Verse 17. It should be that whichever of the families of the earth do not come up to Jerusalem to worship the King, the Lord of Holst, on them there will be no rain. If the family of Egypt will not come up and enter in, they shall have no rain, and they shall receive the plague with which the Lord strikes the nations who do not come up to keep the feast of tabernacles. This should be the punishment of Egypt, and the punishment of all the nations who do not come up to keep the feast of tabernacles. Why? Why would they be compelled to keep the feast of tabernacles? Because, as was mentioned in the sermon at, they're going to have to learn their physical tabernacles, that their physical bodies are only temporary dwellings, that physical life is only temporary, and to teach them that they have eternal purpose, and how to obtain, teach them how to obtain that eternal purpose. And along with Christ, we will be their teachers to teach them how to live, and to teach them about the true God, and how to properly worship the true God, and to teach them God's eternal plan and purpose for mankind, and why they were born, and give them the gift of physical life. That will be our role as we live and reign with Christ for a thousand years. Then, as we begin to live and reign with Christ for a thousand years, what then will the future bring? It's going to bring the kingdom of God and the government of God to this earth. Think about that. How's that going to impact mankind? How's that going to impact the earth that we're now living in? What changes will occur as a result of the kingdom of God ruling over the entire earth? You know, there are literally hundreds of prophetic scriptures which describe what the future's going to bring when that occurs, when God's kingdom comes to this earth. But I want to show you. I know I'm going a little bit over time here, but I'm going to stretch the time a little bit because it started late. But here are five overall changes that the future will bring under the kingdom of God. And these changes are so inspiring, and this is five of many. But this is really what observing this Feast of Tabernacles is really all about, and why we celebrate with tremendous joy. Number one, the earth and the people of the earth will receive healing, and the earth is going to be totally transformed. Let's go back again to Isaiah. This time let's go to Isaiah 35. Isaiah 35, verse 1, the wilderness and the wasteland should be glad for them, for God's kingdom, God's people, who are reigning with Christ. And the desert shall rejoice and blossom as the rose. It shall blossom abundantly and rejoice, even with joy and singing. The glory of Lebanon should be given to it. The excellence of Carmel and Sharon, Sharam. They will see the glory of the Lord, the excellence of our God, which will strengthen the weak hands and make firm the feeble knees, and say to those who are fearful-hearted, Be strong, you don't have to fear anymore. There aren't any more terrorists. They've all been destroyed.

Be strong and do not fear. Behold, your God will come with a vengeance to take care of all your enemies. And He's going to come with the recommends of God, and He will come to save you from all this we see in the world today. Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped, both physically and spiritually. People whose minds have been blinded by the God of this world will have their minds opened. And people whose ears have been stopped from being able to really receive and understand God's truth will then have their ears opened to understand the truth for the first time. Isaiah 35 verse 6, Then the lame shall live like a deer, and the tongue of the dumb will sing, for waters shall birth forth from the wilderness and streams in the desert, and the parched ground shall become a pool of the thirsty land, springs of water, and the habitation of jackals where each lay, there shall be grass with reeds and rushes. The entire earth is going to be transformed. Isaiah 41. Isaiah 41 verses 6 and 7. Isaiah 41 verse 6. Everyone helped his neighbor and said to his neighbor, Be of good courage.

Is that right? Oh, excuse me. Isaiah 41 verse 17. Not 7. Verse 17. Isaiah 41 beginning verse 17. The poor and the needy seek water, but there is none. Their tongues fail for thirst. I, the Lord, will hear them. I, the God of Israel, will not forsake them. I will open rivers in desolate heights, in fountains in the midst of the valleys. I will make the wilderness a pool of water. Sure, now the entire earth is going to be transformed. And the dry land, springs of water. I will plant in the wilderness the cedar and the acacia tree, the myrtle and the oil trees. I will set in the desert a cypress tree and the pine and the box tree together, that they may see and know and consider and understand together that the hand of the Eternal has done this and the Holy One of Israel has created it. So the earth and the people of the earth will receive healing and the earth is going to be transformed. And much more land that's not available today will be available then for cultivation and become useful. Number two, change that's going to take place. Nations that were once enemies. Think of this. Nations that were once enemies will become at one with God and at one with Israel.

They will all become nations of God. Let's go just look back to Isaiah 19. Isaiah 19, beginning in verse 23, verses 23 through 26, or verses 23 and 24, I should say. Isaiah 19, verse 23, in that day there will be a highway from Egypt to Assyria, and the Assyrian will come into Egypt and the Egyptian into Assyria. And the Egyptians will serve with the Assyrians. And in that day Israel will be one of three. Think of this. Look at how our enemies today have been enemies for years. In that day Israel will be one with three with Egypt and Assyria and a blessing in the midst of the land. See, nations which previously went to war against one another will now be at peace with one another. They will become my people in the work of my hands and my inheritance, God says. What they could not accomplish, God will accomplish, and what a difference that will make in the world during peace. Number three, this is amazing, people are going to seek God, and they're going to seek people who know God's truth. Let's go back to Zechariah. Zechariah chapter 8.

Zechariah chapter 8 beginning in verse 20. This is the Lord of hosts. People shall yet come in the inhabitants of many cities, and the inhabitants of one city shall go to another saying, let us continue and go and pray before the eternals. Are you going to go to seek God in Jerusalem? Are you going to go seek the eternal?

Are you going to seek the eternal hosts? Well, wait a minute, don't go about me. I myself want to go also. End of verse 21. Yes, many people in strong nations shall come to seek the eternal hosts in Jerusalem. They're going to want to go see God in Jerusalem and to pray before Him. Wow, what a difference that is.

Will Jews still be maligned and persecuted? Or will they instead be sought after? It's amazing. Zechariah 8 verse 23. Thus is the Lord of hosts. In those days, 10 men from every language of the nations will grasp the sleeve of a Jewish man, saying, let us go with you because we've heard that God is with you. Wow, it's just the opposite day, isn't it? Anybody who believes in God is ridiculed.

What a difference the world tomorrow is going to bring. Number four, evolution will become a theory of the past and will no longer be the basis for people's thinking or taught in the schools. Instead, people will be ashamed they ever believed in such a foolish theory. Let's go back to Jeremiah. Amazing Scripture in Jeremiah. Jeremiah chapter 2. Jeremiah chapter 2, beginning in verse 26. As the thief is ashamed when he is found out, so the house of Israel, those who didn't believe God, are going to be ashamed. They and their kings and their princes and their priests and their prophets are all going to be ashamed for not believing the truth of God and God's Word. Verse 27, saying to a tree, you are my father, and to a stone you gave birth to me. For they have turned their back to me and not their face. By the time of their trouble, they will say, arise and save us. But do you notice what it says here? Saying something that's saying is, but what people do today, they basically in essence, they say a stone gave birth to me. That is saying, a stone has no life at all, does it? Saying that life somehow generated from non-life. That's what this is saying. Knowing well that life can only come from life. And not only that, but knowing that life can only come from its same kind of life.

See, life can only be produced after its own kind. So even if we did have some form of non-human life, could human life somehow evolve from non-human life? No! Could a tree, which is a living thing, could a tree be our father saying to a tree, you are my father, and to a stone you gave birth to me. Man, somehow life came from non-life, and somehow some form of life evolved into another form of life totally different. You know, as many soldiers will tell you, there are no atheists in foxholes. As David said in his record in Psalm 14.1, only the fool has said in his heart, there is no God. Number five that's going to change, that's going to take place is blessings will replace cursings. Let's go back to Deuteronomy 28. Think of what a difference this is going to make. Often today we only see nothing but cursings. Deuteronomy 28 beginning in verse 2, All these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because now you obey the voice of the Eternal your God. Now just think of what it says here, and think of the way it is today. Bless you you be in the city. Bless you you be in the country. Bless you be the fruit of your body, and the produce of your ground, and the increase of your herds, and the increase of your cattle, and the offspring, and your flocks. Bless you you'll be your basket, and your kneading bowl. Bless you you be when you come in, and bless you you be when you go out. You want to be afraid. Don't be afraid of something breaking into your house when you're gone. It's not going to happen. Verse 7, The Lord will cause your enemies who will rise against you to be defeated before your face. They shall come out against you one way and flee before you seven ways. The Lord will command the blessing on you in your storehouses, and in all which you set your hand to do, and he will bless you in the land which the Lord your God has given you. And the Lord, verse 9, will establish you as a holy people to himself, just as he sworn to you, he will do that if you keep his commandments of Lord your God and walk in all of his ways. So that then is just a very small sampling of the hundreds of prophecies which show what the future will bring under the kingdom of God, when the kingdom of God brewing over the entire earth is going to when Christ returns. So these are seven major events which the future will bring between now and the beginning of the millennium. Number one, it will bring the sign of the Son of Man. Two, it will bring the elect who will be gathered from the four winds. Three, it will bring the return of Christ to the earth as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Fourth, it will bring Christ who will then in righteousness judge and make war. Five, it will result in Satan being bound for a thousand years. Six, it will result in us living and reigning with Christ for a thousand years. And finally, it will bring the kingdom of God and the government of God to the earth. So in conclusion then, what will the future bring? There will be no doomsday. And there will be no bright, glittering, scientifically advanced man-made future apart from God. Or with computers or with artificial intelligence replacing mankind, there's going to be no homo deus. Instead, the future will bring seven major events that will lead up to the establishment of the kingdom of God on the earth.

Which we have all been called to be a part of, and which we're all here to celebrate at this year's piece of Tabernacles. So what will the future bring? The future will bring the kingdom of God to the earth.
