Part 1 Of 3 Part Series: Jesus said He would build His Church. Where is that Church today?

Name of True Church

12 times in the New Testament, the name of the Church Jesus founded is mentioned.

1. Acts 20:28 Therefore take heed to yourselves and to all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood.

2. 1 Corinthians 1:2 To the church of God which is at Corinth, to those who are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all who in every place call on the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours:

3. 1 Corinthians 10:32 Give no offense, either to the Jews or to the Greeks or to the church of God,

4. 1 Corinthians 11:16 But if anyone seems to be contentious, we have no such custom, nor do the churches of God.

5. 1 Corinthians 11:22 What! Do you not have houses to eat and drink in? Or do you despise the church of God and shame those who have nothing? What shall I say to you? Shall I praise you in this? I do not praise you.

Steve Buchanan, native of Maryland, has served in the ministry since 1975.  Steve and his wife Terri, have been married since 1976 and have lived in Tucson, Arizona with their family since 1988.

Steve is a volunteer Pastor of three United Church of God congregations, Tucson, Sierra Vista, Arizona, and El Paso, TX.  Steve has worked full time for the Church of God for 23 years, and retired from the Pharmaceutical industry in 2017, after 20 years in Sales.  Terri works for the Department of Medicine at the University of Arizona.
