Where Was God When Tragedy Struck?

If God doesn't want anyone to perish, why does He allow evil to afflict peoples' lives? In how many ways does this nation tell God to get out of our lives? So God is just doing as we ask. When we have a problem and expect Him to take care of it, we need to remember that we can't have it both ways. We either allow God in our lives and obey Him and reap the blessings of that obedience, or else we go it alone and reap the consequences.
