We hear a lot of bad news these days and we also experience a lot of bad things. There is a lot of suffering and we can ask ourselves why God allows it to go on? Many have trouble understanding how a loving God can allow such things to happen. How do we answer such questions? Why does God allow suffering?

Scott McKeon serves as pastor for the Phoenix Northwest and Northern Arizona congregations of the United Church of God.  He resides in Cave Creek, AZ with his wife Carrie and three young adult children.  He attended Ambassador University, where he obtained a Bachelors in Business Administration, and University of Arizona, where he obtained an MBA. In Scott's career he has helped companies design and implement their IT infrastructure as a technology service provider.  His hobbies include reading, swimming, cycling, and occasionally a little game of water polo.
