Christ prayed for His disciples that they would have eternal life, and eternal life is that they would know the only true God and Jesus Christ. This was always His desire for His children. Nine times in the book of Exodus God states that they shall know that "I AM the Lord". Just as it was with the Children of Israel, we are on a journey to come to know the Lord God. Each year, each decade, we draw closer to His Kingdom when everyone on the earth will know that He is the Lord.
