INTEGRITY – the word may sound a bit strange to many people in our world today. What does it mean? The specific word “integrity” may not be nearly so important as what it what it should convey.
Integrity includes and implies soundness, honesty and a deep inner commitment to do unto others as we would have them do unto us!
One of the ten commandments does an especially remarkable job as an indicator of our personal character. Which commandment do you think is this indicator?
The commandment is the 8th commandment: “You shall not steal.” Where is this statement and commandment found in the Scriptures?
The answer is in Exodus 20:15 and in Deuteronomy 5:19.
EXODUS 20:15 Four simple – but powerful words state this commandment of Almighty God ---- “You shall not steal.”
How well do we understand – and how completely do we obey this spiritual law of God?
Perhaps few, if any, of the 10 commandments so thoroughly test, and probe, and sift our inner character as much as the 8th commandment!
