In Luke 9:62, Christ uses the analogy of plowing a field to show the importance of looking forward in our lives. When we are baptized, we count the costs of the commitment we are making. By staying focused on God’s Kingdom, we can guard ourselves from Satan’s deceptions. Seven ways Satan can influence us to look back and give up on our commitment. 

Joe Greene

Joe has been a member of God’s Church since 1984.  He and his wife Brenda have spent their careers working with persons with disabilities of all ages.  Joe holds a Masters Degree in Education. Together, Joe and Brenda have been able to serve God’s people in Illinois, Wisconsin and now in Virginia.  Joe was ordained a local elder in April of 2011 and was hired by the United Church of God in 2023 to pastor the Richmond and Roanoke congregations in Virginia, along with serving as the Human Resource Manager for the Church.
