Democracy in Spiritual Crisis

Many people today feel that something is deeply wrong with the direction of our nation and society. The real crisis isn’t political—it’s spiritual, and only the Kingdom of God offers the lasting peace and justice this world desperately needs.

[Steve Myers] A recent poll says nearly 3 out of 4 Americans believe democracy is in serious danger. If you're feeling uneasy, frustrated, or wondering where all this is headed… you're not alone.

The Bible asks a powerful question: “If the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do?” (Psalm 11:3)

Honestly? It feels like those foundations—truth, respect, trust—are cracking beneath our feet. People are anxious. Divided. You don’t have to scroll far to see it —it’s showing up in real life, right around you.

It's not just political — it’s spiritual. When a nation loses its godly foundation, it’s no surprise when everything starts to unravel.

God warned about this: “Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil…” (Isaiah 5:20) And in moments like this, it’s easy to tune it all out. And say, “What can I really do?” But God says: “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.” (Hosea 4:6)

Not just any knowledge — His knowledge. His truth. His justice. His peace. That’s what you need right now. That’s what this world needs more than ever. And here’s the hard truth: America isn’t going to fix this. Not the left. Not the right. Because no human government can solve a spiritual crisis.

Scripture tells us that all man-made systems will fail. But here’s the good news: God’s Kingdom will not. It’s real. It’s coming. And it’s the only government that will bring lasting peace and justice to this world.

So live like you’re built on a foundation that can never be shaken—the Kingdom of God.
