Does God Hear?

Have you ever felt your prayers go unheard? Here's a passage from the Bible to keep in mind.

[Steve Myers] Have you ever felt that God hasn't heard your prayer? I think at times we have all felt that way.

A passage that I love to keep in mind when that feeling strikes me is that in Psalms 66:19 and here's what it says, it says, "God has heard me. He has attended to the voice of my prayer."

I took the time to look that up in a number of different translations, and it is really inspiring to see how intent God is on us. Other translations say, "Certainly God has heard me." New Living says, "It is sure that God has heard." It says in another translation, "In fact He has heard." And another says, "God definitely listens."

So if you ever get that feeling that, "Has God heard me? It doesn't seem like my prayers are going anywhere." Get out Psalms 66:19. Read through it because it makes it so clear He has certainly heard me, and then it goes on in verse 20, "Blessed be God who has not turned away my prayer nor His mercy on me." And so as you think about that, does God have His mind on us? Absolutely. Does God turn a deaf ear? He always hears us. He always stays with us, and He is loyal in His love.

So if you ever have that feeling, turn to Psalms 66:19 and remember God always hears.

That's BT Daily. We'll see you next time.
