Excuse Me!

Learning to redeem the time. Thoughts on life.

Transcript

[Darris McNeely] Excuse me. I'm on a tight deadline. It's called life.  This is something that really hit home to me and I began to realize in more recent days, but especially since I turned 60 a couple of years ago. I realized that my days are numbered. They always have been, but turning 60 made me understand that a little bit more than I did before. And I appreciate the time that I have. But it's also made me step back and look at the way I spend my time: the things that I read, the movies that I watch, the people that I'm with, the conversations that I have, everything. There are some things I've come to realize I don't have time for. And I need to move on or avoid it all together because I'm on a tight deadline. It's called life. And it reminded me of a scripture that Paul says in Ephesians 5:16 where he says to redeem the time because the days are evil. Redeem the time. The days are evil. Excuse me. I'm on a tight deadline. It's called life.
