Meditating on God's Word can take your understanding to the next level.
[Steve Myers] To understand the Bible, one of the things we have to take time to do is think about the word of God. I mean, you read it, but review it, and meditate on the word of God. That will really help you to digest it and take that learning to another level. Because if something seems hard to understand, well, take some time to think about it and consider it. I mean, we live in a world today that everything's rush, rush, fast, fast, and oftentimes, we just don't sit back, relax, and think about things for a little bit. So, reflect on what the Bible is saying.
And as you think about that, well, how would that idea, that concept, that lesson in the Bible apply to my life? Because some things, it seems there's an instant application back in that day, but how does that apply to me? But when you review and you think about it and you meditate about that word of God, that can begin to help you to understand how to apply it.
There's a beautiful passage that is such a good reminder of this in Psalm 119:97, it says, "Oh, how I love your law. It's my meditation all the day." I'm thinking about it all the time. It's on my mind. God's way is on my mind. It goes on, "You, through your commandments, make me wiser than my enemies." They're ever with me.
You see when we face the challenges of life, when God's will, His word is on our mind, we're going to be thinking godly thoughts, and that application then will come out in our actions. So, a key to understanding the Bible is to review the word of God and take that time to really think about it and meditate on God's word.

Millions of Bibles are sold or given away every year. It's the world's most popular book, but at the same time the most misunderstood! To many it's difficult to understand, yet the Bible itself gives us keys to understand it!
