Not All Paths Lead to God

Many people think all beliefs lead to God, but the Bible shows otherwise—it’s God’s Word, guiding us in truth and how to live. True Christianity means building your faith and life on Scripture, not just traditions or popular ideas.

[Steve Myers] Have you ever heard someone say, “It doesn’t matter what you believe as long as you’re a good person”? Or maybe, “All paths lead to God”? Sounds pretty reasonable, right? Does it really matter what you believe?

The Bible actually tells us something different. It’s not just a nice book with good advice—it’s God’s inspired Word meant to teach us what’s true and how to live (2 Timothy 3:16). But today, a lot of people don’t stick to what the Bible says.

So where do you get your beliefs? If you want to really follow Christ, the Bible has to be the starting point. Jesus said, “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God” (Matthew 4:4). In other words, what we believe and how we live have to match up with Scripture—not just what’s popular or traditional.

There are practical ways to actually live God’s way. Check out our free study aid  Making Life Work at ucg.org. It offers solid, biblical advice to help you navigate life’s challenges with God’s directions.

And it matters in real life—how you live, how you worship, and your relationship with God.

All paths do not lead to God. If you call yourself a Christian, ask yourself—have you really read the Book? And most importantly are you living by it?
