Riots continue in the streets of Cairo leaving many dead. Where is this rioting leading the nation and what are the implications for prophetic fulfillment in the Middle East?
[Darris McNeely] Egypt is once again in chaos. Tens of thousands of people are in the streets of Cairo. People are dying. The government is on the verge of once again being overthrown. And people are asking, just like you, what does Egypt have to do with my life and why is this important?
[Steve Myers] Well, we want to relegate it over there, somewhere in the Middle East, and not realize it is important for your life. It will affect your life. There will be consequences to whatever comes about over there. It's going to affect your life.
[Darris McNeely] The missing dimension in the Middle East understanding and what's taking place in the news is something you don't find in the daily coverage of those events. It's out of Bible prophecy. Daniel chapter 11 records a prophecy of a King of the North, a figure called the King of the North, who comes into this area of the Middle East and specifically mentioned in that prophecy is Egypt, right here, on the way to what's called the Glorious Land or the nation of Israel. This power that comes into this region overrules and overtakes Egypt and the balance of power that is there at that particular time because of a provocation. That's why it's important. Things are on the ground, on the streets of Cairo right now are leading to that particular event.
[Steve Myers] Yeah, that's the amazing thing. Bible prophecy focuses on Jerusalem, but look at everything that's surrounding Jerusalem. This whole area is going to impact that. We think we're pulling out of Iraq with the United States military and we're going to solve our problems. But what's going to fill the vacuum? What is going to make the difference over there? And, whatever comes about, it's going to impact us. It's not just a political thing. And I think that's something we definitely have to keep in mind.
[Darris McNeely] Yeah, Iran is on the march and its power and its influence, the American troops are being pulled out of Iraq at the end of next month. Syria is in turmoil. All of this is impacting the balance of power in the Middle East and will impact some changes in the governing structure and also in the flow of oil out of that region leading to certain events that are going to once again lead to the intervention of this power of the King of the North because of the importance of this region to the rest of the world. So, that's the critical factor, Steve.
[Steve Myers] Yeah, and it's going to impact our lives because what happens in the Middle East will have an effect on us, whether it's gasoline, whether it's the economy, whether it's other…whether it's our military. All of those things will have that effect on you. So find out about it. Do you know what's going to happen? Do you know Bible prophecy? Do you understand how it can affect your life? It's something that you need to take a look into so that we can get our own house in order.
[Darris McNeely] We recently did a program on Beyond Today: Egypt in Bible Prophecy which covered this in more detail. You can go online and see it at our beyondtoday.tv website. [Steve Myers] Don't be taken by surprise, and remember it will affect your life.

Terrorist attacks that have shocked the entire world also brought home the fact that the Middle East impacts all of us, regardless of where we live.
