Katherine Washburn

Kate Washburn finds her bliss in rural Indiana where she lives with her husband and three amazing kids. She ventures into the big city to teach First-Year Composition courses at a small university. Since finding her passion in teaching and a great desire to serve, Kate works with the youth in the congregation through Sabbath School instruction and volunteering at United Youth Camps.

When she can find the extra time, Kate loves to make quilts and other small sewing projects, especially when she can give them to others. In addition, she has a great passion to continually learn, which makes her an avid reader and researcher. Her passion for history is quenched through her volunteer time at the genealogy department in a local library.
