Lloyd grew up on a farm in southwestern Manitoba.  His dad came into the Church when Lloyd was eleven. Out of high school, Lloyd moved to Regina, Saskatchewan, where he still resides today.

Lloyd worked for a Church member for fourteen years in petroleum construction, and then he purchased the company which he ran for seven years. Lloyd now works for a large farm equipment manufacturer as the receiver.

Lloyd pastors the Regina, Saskatchewan, congregation as well as serving as chairman of the UCG-Canadian National Council.

Lloyd married Helen (Stilborn) and they have two grown children, (Beverly and Robert), a daughter-in-law (Synnove) and three grandsons (Keegan, Skylar and Scott) and two granddaughters (Emma and Ellie).

They love to travel and garden.
