Kathryn Youngblood grew up attending church in the Columbus, GA, congregation. She has been a part of the United Youth Camp program every summer since she was twelve, first as a camper and later as staff, and attending the Challenger West program. She now lives in Athens, GA, where she is at the University of Georgia studying Environmental Engineering with a minor in Global Health. She is currently working for her professor as the social media manager for a research project involving tracking and quantifying marine debris. After college, she aspires to work in sustainable development in Latin America.
