UCG Announcements (12.6.25)
Hi friends,
I extend a warm Sabbath greeting tonight to you as God’s day of rest and spiritual rejuvenation is here. In that I’ve got multiple church tasks to get to this evening, I will keep my opening comments brief. Here, then, are this week’s announcements.
1. Sabbath Services in Buford and Atlanta. Tomorrow, in the morning the Buford congregation will meet at the Holiday Inn Express, Bethlehem (Georgia) at 10:30 AM for services. Buford will have a Soup, Chili, and Bread Meal after services. Please plan to bring enough food and drink for your family, plus one person.
In the afternoon, the Atlanta congregation will meet at Unity Atlanta at 2:30 PM for services. (Atlanta's Soup, Chili, and Bread Meal takes place on 12/20.)
Note: Next Sabbath (12/13), we will combine for Sabbath services in Atlanta. We will also have a DEL’s Meeting, Sabbath School and Teen Bible Study classes.
2. Under the weather this Sabbath? Tune into our UCG Atlanta Webcast. If you are sick this week, plan to watch the Atlanta webcast online. 4. DEL’s Meeting at Unity Atlanta on 12/13 at 12:30 PM. We have a DEL’s (Deacons, Deaconess, and Elders) Meeting scheduled in Atlanta next Sabbath at 12:30 PM. It will last until 1:45 PM. An agenda will be sent out prior to the meeting.
5. Atlanta Soup, Chili, and Bread Covered Dish Meal: 12/20. We will be holding our annual Chili Covered Dish Meal on Sabbath, December 20, 2025. We hope you can join us after church for fellowship and food! Please take note of the following:
- Volunteers Needed (Men & Women):
We need help with setup and cleanup.
→ Go to https://tinyurl.com/ucgchili and, about halfway down the page, mark that you are willing to assist. - Tell Us What You’re Bringing:
Please indicate what dish(es) you plan to contribute so we can ensure variety and avoid duplicates.
→ Use the same link: https://tinyurl.com/ucgchili. - Label Your Items:
Label all serving dishes and serving utensils with your name.- If you purchased an item (e.g., cookies in packaging), please transfer your item to your own labeled serving dish and bring a labeled utensil (such as tongs or a serving spoon).
- Take Everything With You After the Meal:
Please take home all dishes, utensils, and any leftovers when you leave.- Do not leave containers—disposable or otherwise—on the tables. Cleanup volunteers cannot determine who items belong to or whether leftovers should be saved or discarded.
Afterward, we will play Bunco in the Fellowship Hall. Plan to come join in the fun.
6. 2025 Winter Family Weekend: 12/23–12/28. Get ready to be “Fueled by Faith!” Registration for the 2025 Winter Family Weekend in Cincinnati, Ohio is ongoing. See here for more information: https://www.ucg.org/members/winter-family-weekend/winter-family-weekend-2025
That’s all I have this evening. Have a great start to your Sabbath. Happy Sabbath!
In love,
Philip Aust

Memory Verse
Isaiah 2:3 Many people shall come and say, “Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob; He will teach us His ways, and we shall walk in His paths.” For out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.
