This is something that the world has never understood, yet we all desire. This is a vital statement for God’s people as this is also the mystery of Christ and the Church. The Feast of Trumpets pictures many things, from the 1st Resurrection to the Day of the Lord and the establishment of His kingdom. We can get a glimpse of what will be by looking back at what has happened before. As God created a chosen people and brought them out of darkness and bondage to a new Kingdom in His first covenant, He is doing so again with the firstfruits of His second covenant. What God has done before, He will do again.

Shortly before His death and resurrection, Jesus Christ’s disciples asked Him what signs would precede His return.
