God has opened the doors for the Brazilian brethren to attend God’s Feast in Porto Seguro, state of Bahia at the “Portal Beach Hotel.” We also hope to have a few brethren from Angola and Maloca de Moscow present at this site. Other U.S. and international brethren are welcome to join us.
This hotel is located in the region where Brazil was first discovered by the Portuguese navigators on April 21, 1500. The safe and popular beachfront location provides a spectacular setting for Christian fellowship.
This venue has been specifically chosen to be in a safe and peaceful region of Brazil, as well as affordable and easily accessible to the small flock of Brazilian brethren and prospects. Registration is now open.
Services
We will have services every morning at 10 a.m. and on Holy Days / Sabbaths we will have two services. The messages will be translated into English, or Portuguese, depending on who the speaker is.
Housing
As the Church had to financially commit in advance to a certain number of rooms, availability is on a first come, first serve basis. We prefer all the brethren to be together at the same hotel. So please book through the Festival coordinator.
The Brazilian currency is Reais (R$) and as per current exchange rate, divide Reais by 4.8 to get the approximate U.S. dollar equivalent. Remember the exchange rate may fluctuate, causing prices to change from what is currently listed.
Travel
The hotel is about a 10-15 minute drive from the Porto Seguro airport which is easily accessible by direct flights of less than two hours from either São Paulo or Rio de Janeiro. Please verify that your Passport is valid for at least six months before date of entry in Brazil. Please also verify if the nationality of your passport requires an eVisa. United States, Canadian and Australian passport holders will require an eVisa to enter Brazil (brazil.vfsevisa.com/information) at a current cost of US$80.90. Various car hire companies are available at the airport. Uber is also very popular in Brazil.
Registration
Register by directly contacting Jorge de Campos at jorge_decampos@ucg.org. Payment of 50 percent is due at the time of registration, via an online fund payment to Brazil on the UCG website (link: https://www.ucg.org/members/feast/sites/porto-seguro-brazil/payment). Please inform Jorge that the online payment has been done so that Jorge may manage the transfer of the funds to Brazil’s church account. The remaining 50% must be completed by Monday, Aug. 3. After that date, no cancellations will be allowed.
We welcome international visitors willing to serve and set an example of true Christian behavior to these recently baptized brethren and prospects. As always, you will get great joy from the Feast as we willingly give of ourselves to serve one another.
