A wise father who knows his child is afraid of the dark will try to teach the child that there is nothing to fear.
He will turn the lights on and take the child into the room that was dark and check all the possible scary places. With a little time, more confidence can be given to the child. Fear can be overcome. It is good to have a dad who is a fear fighter for us—but even the most loving father doesn't want to do this job forever. He wants his child to become a fear fighter too.
As we mature, we can make the decision to conquer our fears. It is certain that if we do not, the fears will grow and will interfere with many things we would like to do. The decision to fight fear does much to determine your future. Most of all, fighting in this way makes you a stronger person. Be a fear fighter!
