Happy Days
We wish you many truly happy days.
Napoleon achieved goals that millions of humans have striven for in vain. Power, fame, riches and glory were all his in abundance. His name is familiar to every student of history. Yet Napoleon stated that all he really wanted and craved was satisfaction in life. At St. Helena he wrote: "I have never known six happy days in my life." How could this be so? Isn't attaining goals satisfying?
Napoleon found that achieving goals alone did not bring satisfaction and happiness. Those come from within and are attained by having a conscience that is free from fear, frustration, anger, resentment and bitterness. Such a mind-set is only found in spiritual satisfaction. That is what Jesus Christ offers—a load that is easy to carry and brings peace.
