I Just Want to Be Loved

Don't we all? One of the greatest needs we have as humans is the need to be loved by others.
Paul wrote about the great need for love in 1 Corinthians 13:13. Some fear the hurt and pain of rejection and withdraw into themselves. Some fall in love with themselves and find that they have no competition. Love is a funny thing. In order to receive love, you need to give it away. It sounds like a contradiction, but it is a fact that is proven by experience and time.
Reach out and do or say something good to or for another person each day. Buy a flower for someone, open the door for a stranger, give a smile to the frazzled waitress and make someone else's day just a little bit better. Then you will never need to say, "I just want to be loved."
