Mug-Wumps

It is a bird that sits on a fence with its mug on one side and wump on the other—not knowing which way to jump and most often just not moving. We call that "fence-sitting." The doers and movers of this world make decisions and work to fulfill their plans. They may make mistakes, but they are doing something. If you do not move at all, you do not even have a chance to win.

The Bible tells us that double-minded folks are unstable and change their minds almost as soon as a decision is made (James 1:8). They doubt themselves. Taking action means that wrong decisions are sometimes made. You may fall on your mug or you may fall on your wump—but it is the getting up and trying again that makes life exciting.
