So often in life we hear the phrase That’s not what I wanted

So often in life we hear the phrase, "That’s not what I wanted." All of us, including God, can identify. Satan and mankind have chosen to go the way that God did not want them to go. Jesus Christ was no stranger to not getting what He wanted. Though He knew it was necessary to fulfill all things, His terrible beating and sacrifice were not easy. He said, "O My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me" (Matthew 26:39). Still people are choosing to go the way God does not want. Remember this the next time we think, "That’s not what I wanted." Striving to do what God wants will make it more likely that we will get what we want, now and in the world to come.
