2024 Feast of Tabernacles: Taupo, New Zealand

The Feast of Tabernacles was held in Taupo, in the beautiful central region of the North Island of New Zealand.
This year, Taupo hosted a family-themed Feast attended by 106 members not only from New Zealand but from several other countries. Taupo is in the beautiful central region of the North Island of New Zealand. Services were held at the Lake Taupo Yacht Club with views overlooking the lake and the snowcapped mountains in the distance. Taupo is a bustling scenic and popular lake town—the main tourist town—right in the heart of the North Island.
Lake Taupo was formed from a volcano and is the largest lake in the southern hemisphere with safe, clean water for swimming and scenic walks to explore God’s creation. The area features a wide range of available water-related activities such as fishing, sailing, visiting the hot thermal pools and kayaking. The area is rich in history and culture.
Highlights of the Feast this year included the opening message that got everyone focused and excited about the meaning of the Feast and the future ahead of us. Feastgoers enjoyed activities together throughout the week, such as a game night, ladies’ high tea and Bible Jeopardy. Family day consisted of a trip to the Agrodome, which was a fun family farm experience. The highlight of the farm show and farm tour was the children feeding the small lambs with bottles. Family Day was capped off with a visit to Rotorua’s Eat Street for dinner. A fishing trip on the lake was a success with photos to go along with the fish stories.
God’s Feasts are encouraging and still point to a much better world. God placed His name in this beautiful region, and He allowed us to have that vision of His plan for the world through these celebrations. As we celebrated with God on these Feast days, we reflected on His plan and His promises. We wrapped up the Feast with everyone looking forward to next year’s Feast of Tabernacles. He allows us to have that vision of His plan for the world through these celebrations. As we observed and worshiped on these Holy Days, we reflected on and remembered what they mean for the world as we enjoyed this foretaste of the beautiful future that will shortly come to pass
