2025 Feast of Tabernacles: Visayas, Philippines

The recently concluded Feast of Tabernacles and Eighth Day at Visayas State University, Baybay City, Leyte was a joyful and faith-filled eight-day gathering held under the theme “Building on the Foundation of the Kingdom.” Brethren from across the Visayas region were joined by overseas guests and attendees from Mindanao, with the highest recorded attendance reaching 187.

Each day began with 10 a.m. worship services, filling the hall with songs of praise and inspiring messages. The first day, a Holy Day, was a whole day service. On the second day, we held a lively festival show, in which different congregations shared heartfelt performances of songs, dances and talents prepared especially for the Feast.

The third day brought both learning and adventure through island tours to Digyo Island (Quatro Islas) and a training on the production of Virgin Coconut Oil and Coconut Vinegar conducted by the National Coconut Research Center—Visayas, a premier research institution under Visayas State University, held at the VSU Convention Center. 

On the fourth day, just before the church service, an earthquake briefly shook the venue—but everyone was safe, and services continued in faith and thanksgiving. That evening, the youth and young adult Bible Bowl brought excitement and friendly fellowship to the study of God’s Word.

The fifth day featured a Sabbath service, Bible study, and a meaningful Women’s Enrichment Activity titled “Women as God’s Pearls.” The following day was filled with fun and bonding during family day at the VSU Garden Beach Resort, followed by a Sumptuous Appreciation Dinner on the seventh day to honor everyone’s service and participation.

The Eighth Day concluded the Feast with gratitude, reflection and heartfelt goodbyes. Despite challenges—including the mid-Feast earthquake—everyone remained steadfast and rejoicing, truly building upon God’s unshakable foundation.
