2026 Camp Report: Southwest
Southwest Camp concluded another inspiring week with 60 campers and 50 dedicated staff members. While campers returned home with lasting friendships and wonderful memories, they also left with a renewed commitment to follow Jesus Christ.
This year’s theme, “Follow Me,” was drawn from Christ’s invitation to His disciples and served as the foundation for every aspect of camp. Through daily Christian living and Bible classes, campers were challenged to consider what it truly means to walk in Christ’s footsteps—not only during a week at camp but throughout their lives. Each lesson encouraged them to grow closer to God, strengthen their faith and develop the habits of a lifelong disciple.
Throughout the week, campers experienced “the Zone,” an environment intentionally set apart from the influences of the world. Surrounded by Christian friends, caring counselors and God’s instruction, they experienced a glimpse of the joy, peace and unity that come from living according to His way. It was encouraging to watch campers support one another, serve willingly and build friendships rooted in mutual respect and Christian love.
Campers also enjoyed a full schedule of activities, including horseback riding, dance, hiking, archery, kayaking, arts and crafts, volleyball, disc golf, field sports and mountain biking. Each evening, everyone had the opportunity to interact as an entire camp through open activities, a dance or a camp “grill and chill.” Then we gathered around the campfire beneath the towering ponderosa pines for games, fellowship, meaningful conversations and the singing of the camp song. The week concluded with the banquet and dance.
It is our prayer that the lessons learned at camp will continue to bear fruit as these young people strive to answer Christ’s invitation to “Follow Me” each day.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to the many staff members, parents, congregations and supporters whose prayers, encouragement and generous support made Southwest Camp possible.
