Between the 8th day of the Feast of Tabernacles and the Passover, there are 170 days. It is not a time to go dormant, but to grow, to keep the fire burning. In Hebrews 12, we have the statement: “For our God is a consuming Fire. The question we should be asking ourselves is; are we consumed by him or will we be consumed by Him? God wants us to keep the desire going for his way of life, to be consumed by his way of life, living it, displaying it, and spreading it. These 170 days are a time of growth to “stoke the fire” for God's way of life.
