Bad Seeds

Part 1 was about how we talk to people one-on-one. Part 2 talks about what that looks like when we teach: what happens when a straw man gets built from the pulpit, the classroom, or the dinner table. When we misrepresent what our neighbors believe we're sowing bad seed. That seed grows and the resulting harvest shows up years later, when a young person meets the real thing and has to ask, "If I wasn't given the truth about what they believe, what else wasn't I given fairly?" The message walks through the two ditches we drift into (ignorance and ignoring), why banning hard questions backfires, and how to stand firm in the wind instead of hiding from it — and closes with a charge to check, ask, and steel-man before we answer.
