Being Discerning Disciples

There is a controversary in Christendom as to whether the Gospel of Christ should be God-centered worship or man-centered religion. Classical theology used to be God-centered (with the need for people to face up their sins before God, repent and be forgiven). Much of modern theology is based on man-centered attainment of self-esteem (the need for people to feel good) without an emphasis on the law and character of God. Mankind needs to be concerned about what God wants rather than what mankind wants. We need to discern this philosophical shift in order to avoid the deception of modern man-centered religion.
