Good evening, brethren, and we're going to continue with our study on the Book of Revelation.
Today we're going to talk a little bit about the seven lost plagues.
And then, because the section of the seven lost plagues ends with a great earthquake, we're going to review some of the major earthquakes that are highlighted in prophecy.
So, as a matter of revision, we completed the studies on the messages to the seven churches.
In other words, the messages to the church during this church age before Christ's coming.
We also looked at some studies of the major prophetic milestones.
And within that, we saw warnings that we must overcome.
Then, we also saw that a portion of the church will be protected before the Great Tribulation.
The Great Tribulation is the fifth seal, so that will be between the fourth and the fifth seal.
Then, we covered the sixth seal, which is the heavenly signs, just before the great and terrible day of the Lord.
And we made reference in Revelation 6 towards the end of Revelation 6.
In Joel 2, verse 31, we saw that the day of the Lord is for a period of one year.
But before that day of the Lord, before that seventh seal, which is the day of the Lord, God will then seal, protect a lot of brethren that have repented during the Great Tribulation.
Through what is termed in the Bible, the sealing of a number of people, of these servants.
So, so far we've seen two, let's call it, time frames, different time frames of protection.
One will be by the portion of the church before the Great Tribulation.
And another one will be the great amount of people during the Great Tribulation that will be prepared. And they will then be sealed with a seal of protection so that they will not be impacted by the seven trumpets, which is the seventh seal, which as we said, lost for the period of one year, that lost one year of the Great Tribulation. Then we also covered the seventh trumpet, which is the last, obviously, of those seven trumpets, which symbolizes Christ's coming.
We also went through Revelation 11, verse 15 through 19, which is when the seventh angel sounded the trumpet, the seventh trumpet.
And then we saw in verse 18 three major events or sets of activities that are to occur during what is called Christ's Second Coming. But understand that these various events will take an amount of time. So this period of Christ's Second Coming is a period which is entitled Christ's Second Coming, but there are many events to occur in there. And as we saw in Revelation 11, 18, the three ones that highlight there is the judgment of those that are dead, is the rewarding of the saints, and the destruction of those that destroy the earth. Today's Bible study will focus mostly on the destruction of those that destroy the earth. But anyway, continuing with the revision of what we've covered so far, then we, the next chapter is Revelation 12, which highlights a brief history of how the church has been persecuted by Satan, was, has, and will continue to be persecuted by Satan until Satan is put away. We then also looked at the two beasts that are to rise up at the time of the end with a particular focus on the civil leader and the religious leader.
And that is basically in Revelation 13. In the last study, we looked at Revelation 14, which, therein we saw how the overcomers at the end of the spiritual war against Satan will then be the first fruits of God and of the land. And there in that section, the winners and the losers, let's call it the overcomers, and the ones that that will lose are then identified through those messages described in Revelation 14.
So today, we're going to address Revelation 15, which are the seven lost plagues, and Revelation 16. So another entitled is the final destruction of Satan's kingdom.
Basically, it is the end of this satanic society, of this terrible society. When Satan's kingdom is destroyed, it will be the end of this society in which we live. And it will be the dawn of a new society for a millennium, for a thousand years, which is the kingdom of God, reigning on earth.
Now, in Revelation 15, verse 1, and also verse 7, let's look at Revelation 15, verse 1, it says, and I saw that a sign in heaven, great and marvelous, seven angels having the seven lost plagues, for in them the wrath of God is complete. We saw that the seventh seal of the seven trumpets is the wrath of God, but the final punch, the concluding point of the wrath of God is these are these last seven plagues, or these last seven bowls, right at the end. So this is when this terrible society will end. Look at in verse 7 as well of Revelation 15, it says, then the four living creatures gave to the seven angels, seven golden bowls, full of the wrath of God, who lives forever and ever. So this is the final concluding, let's call it punch, of the wrath of God being poured on the evil nations, right at the end, in this period that we call Christ's coming, the period of the seventh trumpet, the period that we are lighted in Revelation 11 verse 18, that we say there are three major events to happen there, and the third of those three is the destruction of those who destroyed the earth, which is basically destruction of Satan's kingdom. In Revelation 14 verse 9 and 10, Revelation 14 verse 9 and 10, we see a message there that there's going to be just punishment. It says, if this is the third angel message, follow them saying the loud voice, if anyone worships the beast and his image and receives his mark on his forehead and on his hand, he himself shall drink the wine of the wrath of God.
And this wrath of God, this wine of the wrath of God, are these seven lost flags, these seven lost balls, as we saw in Revelation 15 verse 7, which these balls are full of the wrath of God, who lives forever and ever. So this is the final punishment of this society and the destruction of this Satan's kingdom. And he continued reading here in verse 10, or verse 14, he says, he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. So it is this punishment at Christ's coming. So it is one of the happenings or the events or the activities, the various detailed activities that will happen at that period of Christ's coming. Now this punishment of these seven lost plagues are so devastating, so powerful, that will happen in a very short time, not during various months. There is some people that say, well, these seven lost plagues will last something like five or six months, but as we will see, this cannot be so, because these seven lost plagues are so powerful and devastating that the effect of those is so strong on the earth that it cannot go on for a long period.
It will be a period of just a few days, probably symbolic, I believe. I could be incorrect, but I believe this is the period symbolic between the day of trumpets and the day of atonement, that period of 10 days. And if we believe that God does everything on time, it very well be.
It is very possible that could be during that very period between trumpets and the day of atonement. So, yeah, we see the direct and personal intervention of Jesus Christ will be visible throughout all world, because this is in the presence of the Lamb. So, physical human beings will see this enormous destruction happening to those people, as we read in Revelation 14, verse 10, that are receiving the wrath of God. Those are the ones that worship the beast. Those are the ones that do not worship God, that follow idolatry. So, these seven last plays, therefore, detail a number of final events, final things that will happen on the earth during the period of the seventh trumpet, which begins with the resurrection of the saints, as I highlighted by referring back to Revelation 11, verse 18, which is the judgment of the dead, which means the saints are judged to be resurrected in the first resurrection, and the remaining of the dead are judged to remain asleep for another thousand years.
So, this is all part of this encapsulating set of events, which we generically call Christ's coming. But there are a lot of things that will happen during that period.
Right, so continuing with this destruction of Satan's kingdom, the seven last plays, the seven last plays, therefore, complete God's punishment and destruction of the world system, the Babylonian world system, which is a system which includes a government, which includes a way of life, a culture, which includes a financial system, and also a religious system.
And this is the system of Satan. In other words, the evil one, and his system will be destroyed.
So, these last seven last plays are the actual destruction of this world system.
Now, when did this world system start? Well, it started in Babylon. And as we look at the image of Daniel 2, where it shows the beginning, and it says to Nebuchadnezzar, you are the head, the head of gold of this image. And that image, that statue, that this period of the Babylonian mystery system, which includes a religion, includes a financial system, includes a government system, all this system which started in Babylon has been going on all the way till when Christ comes. And that stone, which was not shaped by human hands, hits the feet of that image and whole image crumbles. So, when did this system start?
In Babylon. And therefore, what are we talking about is this chastisement, is the destruction of this great Babylonian system. And once he's destroyed, all nations will bow down before Christ. Look at Revelation 15 verse 2 through 4. It says, And I saw something like a seal of glass mingled with fire, and those who have the victory over the beast, over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, standing on the seal of glass, having the hopes of God. And they sing the song of Moses by the Old Testament and the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, in the New Testament. Great and marvelous are your works, Lord God Almighty. Just and true are your ways, O King of the saints, who shall fear you, O Lord, and glorify your name. For you alone are holy, for all nations shall come and worship before you.
So, here we have this destruction of this Babylonian system in front of the Lamb, and then the outcome is all nations will be destroyed. That's what it says, For all nations shall come and worship you, for your judgments have been manifested.
The judgment, the punishment of this Babylonian system has been manifested.
So, Satan's kingdom must be destroyed. That is Revelation, for instance, Revelation 14 verse 11, and it says, the smoke of the tormentor sends for it, the smoke, this is utterly destroyed, and that's it. That's the smoke. It will just be, go out there, and it says, and these people, until they destroy, during this period of destruction, will have no rest day or night until they actually destroy it. They will have no rest until they are actually destroyed.
And so, it will not just be the human beings in the system, but it will be the demonic authorities and powers that will be put away, because we know at the end of this, Satan will be put away, and he's demons. We put away for a thousand years. So, this system will be destroyed, including the demonic authorities, the thrones, and all the idols that go with it. Revelation 9 verse 20, let's just read there, Revelation 9 verse 20, and it says, but the rest of mankind, who were not killed by these plagues, did not repent of the words of the end. So, those people who were not killed by the plagues that happened previously, they didn't repent. And even this section here I was talking about, right before the seventh trumpet. It's the sixth trumpet when the armies gathered to fight one another. That's the army of the east and the west gathered to fight the beast, and they did not repent. Because it says, and they did not repent, verse 21, for of their murders, or of their sorcerers, it was of their drugs and things like that, that they do all of their sexual immorality, or all of their thefts. Why? Because they worshiping, they can go. That's what it says at the end of verse 20. Because they worship demons and idols of gold and silver and brass and stone and wood, which cannot be seen or even awoke. So, they did not repent of that idolatry.
That system is now utterly destroyed. That's what is happening here in this section of the Seven Lost Blades. So, human beings that are alive at that time, they need to see that it is Jesus Christ who utterly destroys their governments and their libes. They need to see, and they will see Christ, because it says it will be destroyed in front of the Lamb and His angels. So, they need to see this being destroyed, because they did not repent otherwise. And now their governments, their idols, their gods are gone. And this is what it's covered in Revelation 16 all the way through Revelation 19. It's the destruction of the system. And then finally, in Revelation 20, is the actual leader of the system, which is Satan himself. He's put away. So, this is what this system, this whole process of destruction of Satan's kingdom, is this whole section discussed in Revelation 16, which is the Seven Lost Blades, but also the events of Revelation 17, which is the destruction of this false religion, and this beast, and Revelation 18, which is the fall of Babylon, and the complete destruction of that, which is 18. And then, in verse 19, shows how Christ then destroys those nations in a war against those nations. So, we can see that destruction. It's the last section of these Seven Lost Blades. And the final war that Christ will do against these nations. So, when we look at 2 Timothy chapter 3 verse 1 through 5, let's just look at that.
2 Timothy chapter 3 verse 1 through 5.
It says, we know that in the last days perilous times will come, for man will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unfanful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, despises of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God. So, we see a loveless and merciless society at this end of the time, which has a form of godliness. They appear very religious, but they don't practice it, and we have to turn away from these people. So, that's how the world is today. This is what we see at this end time. So, we see people, we see a society, we see people that are full of knowledge. Yes, knowledge shall increase, people shall run to and fro, but in this society, people do not love or understand the truth.
It's a society completely deceived. That's what we read in verse 7 of 2 Timothy chapter 3. It says, always learning and ever able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
This is the society we live in. Look at verse 8. It says, men of corrupt minds disapproved concerning the fact. So, this is the society we live in, and it is to the society in which you and I live that God is going to send the lost place. Now, we've seen before that, unfortunately, there's going to be a lot more suffering with the Great Tribulation.
And then that last year of the Great Tribulation, there are seven trumpets. But at the end, with the seven trumpets and Christ coming, YAH is now finally the wrath of God which is destroying those that destroy the earth. So, let's look at Revelation 15. Revelation 15 verse 5 through 8.
And it says, now these things are looked, and be all the temple of the tabernacle of the testimony in heaven was opened. And out of the temple came the seven angels having the seven plates, clothed in pure bright linen, and having their chests girdled with golden bands. Then one of the four living creatures gave to the seven angels seven bowls full of the wrath of God, who lives forever and ever. The temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God and from His power, and no one was able to enter the temple till the seven plates of the seven angels were completed. So, there is a time in which there's going to be terrible, terrible trouble happening.
And it says the temple was full of smoke from the glory of God and from His power, and no one was able to enter the temple till the seven plates of the seven angels were completed. So, we see a very terrible time. And then in verse 1 of chapter 16, then I heard a loud voice from the temple saying to the seven angels, Go and pour out the bowls of the wrath of God on the earth. So, this is a time period which is not a long time period because it says you are during this temple, during this time frame we saw in verse 8, the temple was full of smoke and no one was able to enter the temple till the seven plates of the seven angels were completed. So, this is a short time period. It is not for months. And through this, God is going to reach these blind minds of people that have not repented, and some of them will reap death and destruction.
And this is what we see the result of the destruction of Satan's kingdom. So, let's look at the seven bowls of God's wrath. So, they are seven bowls. Verse 2 is the first bowl, which shows that those that accept the mock of a beast will be afflicted with swords.
Then in verse 3 is the second bowl, which is the sea turns to blood and all creatures in the sea died. Then in verse 4 through 7 the rivers turn to blood. And then in verse 8 and 9, it shows man being scorched with great heat. And then verse 10 and 11, we see the beast thrown in his kingdom becomes full of darkness. So, it's a series of events climaxing one on the top of the other. And then in verse 12 through 16, it says the river arthritis drives and armies gather in Armageddon. So, that is during the spirit of the seven trumpets that armies are now gathering. Why?
Because they now want to turn and fight Christ. And it says they gather in a place called in Hebrew Armageddon. And then we read in verse 17 through 21, where it says there was a great earthquake and such as had not occurred since man were on earth, says at the end of verse 18, and the earth is violently shaken. So, this is a very quick synopsis of the seven lost plagues.
Now, where we see in verse 2, putting them in a little bit more detail, reading, so the first went and poured out his bowl upon the earth, and a foul and lonesome soul came upon the man who had a mark of the beast and those who worshipped his image. So, people will suffer because of the lack of goggles. And then the second bowl, it shows then the second angel poured out his bowl on the sea and became blood as a dead man, and every living creature on the sea died. Coastal areas will be permeated with the smell of blood and dead fish. Imagine, it says, all every living creature in the sea died. Now, brethren, you can't live for months on planet earth when you have situations like this.
Right, so that is the first bowl and the second bowl. Then we get down to verse 4 through 7.
And then the third angel poured out his bowl on the rivers and streams of water, and they became blood. And I heard the angel of the water saying, You are righteous, O Lord, the one who is and was and who is to be, because you have judged these things.
For they have shed the blood of the saints and prophets, and you have given them blood to drink.
For it is their just Jew. So imagine when people have nothing to drink, and all they have blood, this is a tight period in the earth's history, a very short period.
So land, inland areas are also affected. Satan's kingdom, therefore, and that had systematically killed God's servants, they now have to drink blood.
And I heard another from the altar saying, Even so, Lord God, true and righteous are your judgments.
So this is indeed happening quickly before the eyes of the holy angels and of the lamb, and of the lamb, as we read in Revelation 14 verse 10, because it says, it says, at the end of verse 10, it says, in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the land.
So you see a very strong punishment happening. Then we have the fourth ball in Revelation 16 verse 8 and 9. And then the fourth angel poured his ball on the sun, and power was given to him to scorch man with fire. And men were scorched with great heat, and they blasphemed the name of God, who has power over these plagues, and they did not repent and give him glory. So all these punishments, and so it has to come to the point when the leadership is actually destroyed.
So we see the kingdom of Satan with its many pagan forms of idolatry, such as worship of the day of the sun, which is Sunday, and worship of the day of the birth of the sun, which is when the sun, the day light starts getting longer, which was a pagan day of worship, which today is called Christmas Day. So all this, God is basically punishing their false idols.
So and then we continue in verse 10 and 11. And it says, and this is to the first ball, which says, and the fifth angel poured out his ball on the throne of the beast, and his kingdom became full of darkness, and they gnawed their tongues because of the pain.
They blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and did not repent of their deeds. So the very throne of the beast and those people that are with the beast, they've been punished in pain, and they still don't repent of their idolatry.
Then we get to the sixth ball, and that is the gathering, as I mentioned earlier on, of the nations to fight Christ, because it says that the sixth angel poured out his ball on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up so that the way of the kings from the east might be prepared. And I saw three unclean spirits with frogs coming out of the mouth of the dragon, out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. They are spirits of demons performing signs which go out to the kings of the earth and of the whole world to gather them to the battle of the great day of God Almighty. So now it's basically is, hey, the people see we be invaded from outer space. Then all these things happen. We are cross against this God that is now intervening, or they could perceive through deception from Satan that he is an invasion from outer space. And they now want to have this revenge by attacking this supposed common enemy, which obviously is not a common enemy, because it's God. They want to fight God. God. So then we have the seventh ball, which starts in verse 17, and then the seven angel poured out his ball into the air, and a loud voice came out of the temple of the heaven from the front, saying, it's done.
All of God's efforts to bring mankind to reason have now come to an end. It is done. It will happen. Effectively, it's done. And so then we see in verse 18, and there were noises and thunderings and lightnings, and there was a great earthquake. Such a mighty and great earthquake has had not occurred since then we're on the earth. Now, brethren, this brings a point.
There have been a number of earthquakes referred to in this last section of the Bible. So I am going to go through now a brief summary of these different earthquakes. So we see the seven lost plates, which comes to a point where they gather to fight Christ, and now there's an earthquake. So they're still going to be the moment when they actually fight Christ, but now this is building up to that. And so we see this great earthquake. And look at verse 19, the first part says, now the great city was divided into three parts. That is, Jerusalem was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell. And great Babylon was remembered before God to give a cup of the wine of the fierceness of Israel. So this is the time now when the fierceness of God's wrath is poured on Babylon. And continue in verse 20 and 21. And then every island fled away, and the mountains were not found. And great ale from heaven fell upon man, each alestone about the weight of a talent. Man blasphemed God because of the plate of the hail, which, since the plate, was exceedingly great. So we have here a huge earthquake. And so at this moment, I want to summarize these earthquakes as we complete tonight's study. So let's look at possible scenarios of earthquakes, which are these earthquakes in Bible prophecy. So I'm going to go back and look at some earthquakes, which are still prophesied to happen. But it's before this earthquake that we're talking about here, at this final great earthquake. But we're going to look at a few others. So, but let's first understand what is an earthquake. This is from a magazine called Teach Engineering. This was also presented by one of God's ministers in Lexington Church.
And I took a few of his slides to include in the section. According to this teach in Engineering, earthquake formation is when the earthquake is made up of tectonic plates, which lock together like pieces of a juggle or big bar of a puzzle. So the pieces of a puzzle they together is like things like pieces of a puzzle. And these plates float on a molten rock of the earth's mantle and move around very slowly. The boundaries where the tectonic plates meet are the areas of the world where the most violent natural earthquake activity occurs. So yeah, well, these move. There's natural movements and they are natural earthquakes. But now we're talking about specific earthquakes that God is miraculously intervening. So what happens when we have an earthquake is when the plates, these plates, grind against each other along the plate boundaries, along the edges. The rocks there on the edge are under so much pressure that sometimes they heat up and fold, creating mountain ranges, or at the same time hills and valleys. The intense pressure of these plate boundaries can cause rocks to snap and break, forming cracks in the earth, or what we call faults. When these faults are formed, a tremendous amount of energy is released, which shakes the earth and causes the earthquake. So these they form and they crack and there's this shaking the earthquake. So let's look at the first prophetic sign of a great earthquake, which is during the period of the sixth seal, which is the heavenly signs. Remember the sixth seal, which is before the day of the Lord, and that is towards the end of the Great Tribulation of the two and a half years before the last year of the Great Tribulation. In Revelation 6 verse 12, we read, And I looked, and when I opened the sixth seal and behold, it was a great earthquake. And the sun became black as sachlofelver and the moon became like blood. So now we have a huge earthquake during the Great Tribulation, which is part of the so-called heavenly signs.
And this earthquake causes the sun to become black as sachlofelver and the moon to become like blood. When we consider this particular tremor or earthquake, which takes place on the ground, it appears it will be amazingly huge and of great geographical reach. It is possible that such a huge tremor will cause a volcano to appear, a huge volcano. Since volcanoes often release massive amounts of ash, particles, and volcanic gases into the air, this occurrence could block sunlight and moonlight. Therefore, the explanation is why in Revelation chapter 6 verse 12 it says that after this earthquake, the sun became black as sachlofelver and the moon became like blood. You see this effect of this possible volcano.
Now, let's move on to another earthquake mentioned in the Bible, another major earthquake. And this is when the two witnesses died, which is basically three and a half days before out of two witnesses died. That's three and a half days before, let's call it, the sounding of the seventh trumpet.
But now, after the three and a half days, it says in Revelation 11 verse 11 and 12, after the three and a half days, the breath of life from God entered the two witnesses, and they stood on their feet, and a great fear fell on those who saw them.
And they heard a loud voice from heaven, saying to them, come up here. And they ascended to heaven in a cloud, and their enemies saw them. So, continuing reading now in verse 13 of Revelation 11, at the same hour there was a great earthquake, and a tenth of the city fell in the earthquake.
Seven thousand people were killed, and the rest were afraid and gave glory to the God of heaven.
So, we see an earthquake at Quakia just before the sounding of the seventh trumpet, which symbolizes Christ's coming. Which, let's say, if we believe that is correct, it symbolizes, if it happens, in the day of trumpets. So, it means just before that day of trumpets.
And that's what it says here. There was a great earthquake in the same hour, verse 13, and a tenth of the city fell, a tenth of Jerusalem fell, seven thousand people were killed, and the rest were afraid and gave glory to the God of heaven.
Now, what's about to happen? Well, even though Christ is returning to earth, he hasn't finished dealing with the part of humanity that is rebellious, because, as we see now, there's going to be the seven lost plagues. So, this is just before the seventh lost plagues.
This is part of when the two witnesses resurrect, and then we're going to have the seventh angel, which is the seventh trumpet, which is Christ's return, which is the resurrection, the judgment of the dead, the reward of the saints, and the destruction of those that destroyed the earth, as we read in Revelation 11.18. So, this is before those seven lost plagues.
And so we have this earthquake. So, even though Christ is returning, he hasn't finished dealing with the part of humanity that is rebellious, and things are going to get extremely dangerous, particularly around Jerusalem.
Therefore, it seems he's creating, God is creating, an escape route in Jerusalem, for he is loyal, let's call it physical, Jewish, the saints, people that are in Jerusalem, that are now seeing Christ coming to repent, and they're going to have an escape route for them to flee. Let's look at Zechariah 14, verse 4 and 5. Zechariah 14, verse 4 and 5.
Zechariah 14, verse 4 and 5.
He's talking about gathering all nations. Yeah, so we can see that that's that sort of time period.
In that day his feet will stand on Mount of Olives, which faces Jerusalem on the east, and Mount of Olives shall split in two, from east to west, making a very large valley.
Half of the mountain shall move towards the north, and half of it towards the south.
So there seems to be, at the time there, at the end of the two witnesses, there is the time of the 7th Trump and the time of Christ's coming. It is possible, this is what it's referring to, that there will be the Mount of Olives will split into a part moving north and towards the north, and another part moving towards the south. So what we have is a valley going east to west, and then it says, and making a very large valley, half of the mountain shall go towards the north, and half of the mountain towards the south, then you shall flee through my mountain valley.
For the mountain valley shall reach to Azal. Yes, you shall flee as you fled from the earthquake in the days of Uzziah, king of Judah. Thus the Lord my God will come, and all the saints with you.
So this is a very significant time. You always see a creation of a valley called my mountain valley, and it says to those physical people that are there, probably in Jerusalem, saying this will be the way for you to flee.
Interesting. So an organization in Jerusalem called the Mount of Olives, which manages the 3,000 year old Jewish cemetery located on the eastern slopes of the Mount of Olives across the Kidron Valley from the old city of Jerusalem. On its website, it gives an extension overview of the area's ancient geological history, which includes the fallen. And we can see a fault line going from east to west, splitting Mount of Olives into two, one going north and the other one going south.
Let's read what they say in the website. The earthquake fault line from west to east in the southern portion of the Mount of Olives has elevated the mountain northward and exposed layers of limestone and dolomite from the 90 million years ago Sinomanian-Turonian period.
So yeah, we have a fault line, a very old fault line, but it appears that it's there for a purpose that God will use. It's possible, as I mentioned, these are just some possibilities of things that will happen with these earthquakes. And so, after Jesus sets his feet on Mount of Olives at his second coming, who is Zechariah referring to when he says, you shall flee?
And also note that this is no ordinary valley through which people will flee, because God calls it, my mountain valley. My mountain valley. So it's a valley that God made. But Christ's coming.
So we'll flee through my mountain valley. And we just finished reading Zechariah 14 verse 4, so I'm not going to read it again. But it says, it will be they who, they will be those who gave glory to the God of heaven. That's what we're reading. Those who gave glory to the God of heaven.
After the earthquake and after the death of the two witnesses, look at Revelation 11 verse 13.
Let's go back to Revelation 11 verse 13, because there we see the time of the two witnesses.
And when this earthquake happens? In Revelation 11 verse 13.
Revelation 11 verse 13.
In the same hour there was a great earthquake, and a tent for the city fell, and in the earthquake 7,000 people were killed, and the rest were afraid, and gave glory to the God of heaven.
So maybe those who gave glory to the God of heaven after the earthquake and after the death and resurrection of the two witnesses, those people are going to be protected at this time.
So are we talking now at the third additional time of protection? Very possibly yes. Very possibly yes.
Again, these are things that are giving us possible scenarios of earthquakes at this time.
And now we get to the final earthquake that I was talking about a little earlier, when we read Revelation 16, which is that seventh ball. And in verse 18 we read, and there were noises and thunderings and lightnings, and it was a great earthquake.
Such a mighty and great earthquake as had not occurred since men were on the earth. This is the earthquake of earthquakes. Let's call it that. That is the great earthquake that has never occurred something on earth since mankind is living. Now, verse 19.
Now the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell, and great Babylon was remembered before God to give her the cup of the wine of the fields of Israel. Then every island fled away, and the mountains were not found. Now, let's talk about the city was divided into three parts. Well, the city was already divided into two parts with the previous earthquake of when the two witnesses resurrected.
So we see now another earthquake, because we had one going east to west or west to east with two parts, but now there's another earthquake, and so we have north, south, and the eastern side, three cities being divided into three parts. Let's look at that a little bit more about this time. Isaiah 29, Isaiah 29 verse 5 and 6. Isaiah 29 verse 5 and 6. Moreover, the multitude of your foes shall be like fine dust, and the multitude of the terrible ones like chaff that passes away. Yes, it shall be in an eastern.
Suddenly, you will be punished by the Lord of hosts with thunder and earthquake and great noise, with storm and tempest, and the flame of the vowing fire. It could very well be referring to this time. So let's see the possibility. Again, I'm saying it's a possibility based on the Great Rift Valley. There's a Great Rift, which is a complex of tectonic faults created about 35 millions ago with the separation of the African and Arabian tectonic plains.
This structure stands in the north, all the way from Jerusalem east, goes all the way through this area of the Dead Sea, and then through this area in Africa, Ethiopia, through this area in Uganda and Kenya, where these lakes are, all the way east of Tanzania and west of Malawi, which is the Great Lake of Malawi, bordering with Mozambique, and going all the way through into the sea by Mozambique, just north of what they call today Bayra.
So yeah, we have this huge Great Rift Valley, which is a complex of tectonic plates created many years ago, and this extends north to south for about 4,000 miles, 4,000 miles, 6,400 kilometers from northern Syria, yeah, from northern Syria through, yeah, through the eastern side, through the eastern side of Jerusalem, the amount of olives, all the way down, and it says, with a width that varies between 20 and 70 miles, and a depth of a few hundred to thousands of meters, or thousands of feet, really. So when you think about it, it's a huge fault line that exists there.
The epicenter of this earthquake could be, so this again, I'm just saying, a possibility, could be, the epicenter could be in the Great Rift Valley, and if that is the case, that is the area of Africa, and that's where it is between there and the Middle East there, and goes and cuts through that part of Africa. So if that epicenter is there, it could spread this break in this tectonic place, could break and impact all the other tectonic plates and fault lines across the earth, because it's right in the middle, and it would have an impact all the way to the left and to the right, to the west and to the east, across the earth.
So the Bible says that this huge earthquake will spread, because in Revelation 16 verse 19, Revelation 16 verse 19 says, and the cities of the nations fell. So this earthquake would spread to hold the world, creating ripple effects of this earthquake throughout all the other tectonic plates, causing these mega-cities of the nations to fall. Imagine what will happen when God will shake the earth mightily, as we read in our Saha chapter 2 19 and 21, at Christ's coming, and we see small to vast mega-cities of even 10 million or more, from small cities to huge cities, especially those located near the fault lines, will be literally shaken to pieces.
And imagine what that will do to the seas, which are called huge tsunamis, which will move quickly across the oceans and will crash into coastal cities, destroying everything they come in contact with. And this is really look, really look 21 verse 25, says all this will add to the distress of nations with perplexity, the sea, and the waves always. You see, brethren, you and I have to trust and believe that God will protect His faithful servants. Nobody has to protect, and these events are so huge and devastating.
It'll be for a very short period of time.
Furthermore, the force and energy released by these tectonic plates across the earth will be so incredible that it will cause islands to disappear under the seas, and huge mountain ranges to completely bend and collapse. That's why it says in verse 16 of Revelation 20. Revelation 20 verse 16.
Well, sorry, I've got the wrong quote here, but I think it was probably Revelation 16.
Revelation 16, it says, every island fled away across both the beaches of Egebod.
Revelation 16 verse 20. Every island fled away, and the mountains were not found.
That's what it is. Revelation 16 verse 20. You can see this impact of this will be enormous, brethren.
Enormous. So, whatever God allows to occur will occur for the purpose of bringing humanity to repentance, because if we look at Isaiah chapter 2 verse 11, it says, the lofty looks of a man shall be humbled. The haughtiness of man shall be bowed down, and the Lord alone shall be exalted in doubt. So, those people that do not repent will come to this point, and the destruction of Babylon, as we'll see in future lessons, and during this very tight, short period of time, will bring the lofty looks of man finally to be humbled, and the haughtiness of man shall be bowed down, because the Lord alone shall be exalted. When Christ comes and he comes with power, everybody will recognize, that's God. That's God. So, Satan's kingdom will be destroyed, as we read in Matthew chapter 4 verse 2, but to you fear my name, the Son of Righteous shall arise with healing in his wings, and you shall go out and grow fat like stalled, fed colors in the world tomorrow, which then, when Christ comes back and he brings righteousness on earth, it's like a morning sun rising up and bringing righteousness to the earth, and bring healing to the earth, and bring peace, and food, and happiness. What a wonderful time that will be, brethren, the wonderful world tomorrow.
Satan's kingdom will be destroyed.
