Greetings, everybody, and welcome to tonight's Bible study. We are in Daniel 11, verse 21. So if you would turn to Daniel 11, verse 21, we shall begin.

One of the things that we need to keep in mind with regard to Bible prophecy, of course, is duality. Much of Daniel 11 was, according to some of the commentators, was fulfilled by Antiochus the Great. Antiochus Epiphanies also called Antiochus the Great, but he was a type of what is going to come at the end time. As we shall see and as we have seen, that the basic part in the final fulfillment of Daniel's prophecy is really a risk in the last days at the end of time, and we'll see that even tonight. So in Daniel 11, verse 21, And in his estate shall stand up a person to whom they shall not give the honor of the kingdom. But he shall come in peaceably, and obtain the kingdom by flatteries. Now, even though Antiochus Epiphanies fulfilled most of the prophecies that are contained in that are presented in Daniel 11, he really didn't obtain the kingdom by flatteries, and he didn't come in peacefully. So the commentators aren't you back in two with regard to is this really speaking of Antiochus, or is this really speaking of the end time person? It is, doubtlessly, it may have been fulfilled in type by Antiochus, but it's definitely speaking about the end time person, because as we know in Daniel chapter 8, that the one comes in, obtains the kingdom by flatteries, and also comes in peacefully. And we have talked about that when we covered Daniel chapter 8. And the arms of a flood, and a flood represents an army, shall they be overflown from before him, and shall be broken, yes, also the prince of the covenant. Now the prince of the covenant has to do, it's not Jesus Christ, it is the one with whom the covenant was made, the one with whom the the vile person, the little horn breaks their covenant. And after the league made with him, he shall work deceitfully, he shall come up and shall become strong with the small people. So we want to go back now briefly to Daniel chapter 8, and we'll see that after Daniel's kingdom was divided after he died to his four, and given to his four generals, that the kingdom was divided among his fourth, the generals. And then after that, we're in Daniel chapter 8, we'll start at verse 19. He said, Behold, I will show you, and I will show you what will come at the end of the Indian nation, for all the time, for the time appointed, shall be the end. The man which you saw having the horns are the kings of Media and Persia. So we know that those were the kings of Media and Persia, and with Media there was Alexander the Great.

But now having, I'm down to verse 22, but the king having broken, I need to get my glasses, and they're not in here. Here they are.

But those are sunglasses. That doesn't help much. And the rough goat is the king of Grisha, and the one pushing against my big horn is, of course, Alexander the Great.

Now that being broken, where he has forced it up in his place, and we talked about that before generals that succeeded Alexander the Great.

And in the latter time of his kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance and understanding dark sentences shall stand up, and his power shall be mighty. And he, and by his own power, not by his own power, of course, is energized by Satan the devil, and he shall enter peaceably, and I might have to go get my glasses. I can't see. My eyes are burning like crazy. I'm having high trouble, so I'll be back just a second.

Okay, I'm back. I got my glasses now. I can see it. Verse 23, and in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to a full, a king of fierce countenance and understanding dark sentences shall stand up, so he's really superstitious, this one, and his power shall be mighty, but not of his own power, and Satan the devil energizes him. He shall destroy or corrupt wonderfully. He doesn't actually kill the Jewish people, and shall prosper in practice, and shall destroy the mighty and the holy people, and once again the word destroys corrupt, and through his policy also he shall cause crap to prosper in a superstition, black magic prosper in his land, and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall he destroy or corrupt many, and he shall also stand up against the prince of princes, and so we know this one is the one that comes at the end of the age, because at Revelation 17 verse 14 it talks about how the beast power stands up against Jesus Christ, the returning one, and those who are with him are called faithful and chosen. So we see here what is happening in this chapter, and now we go back to Daniel chapter 11 and verse 22. And with the arms of a flood and the arms, as we said, represents an army, a flood represents an army, shall they be overflown, and from before him shall be broken, yes, also the prince of the covenant, the one with whom they made the covenant, and after the league made with him he shall work deceitfully, and the commentators bring out, and also it seems from just reading this, that he knows that he's going to break the covenant later on, for he shall come up and shall become strong with the small people, as we just read from Daniel chapter 8. He shall enter peacefully even upon the fattest places of the province, and he shall do that which his fathers have not done, nor his father's fathers. Because of this, the phrasing of this, a lot of people think, a lot of commentators think, that the end time beast is Jewish, but I would not derive that just from this, but this is a Hebrew-ism that is used oftentimes from the God of his fathers and his father's fathers, that is used very often in Hebrew literature. He shall scatter among them the prey and spoil and riches, and he shall forecast his devices against the strongholds even for a time.

So his devices are plans that he's making, but what he's going to do when he has absolute control.

In verse 26, yes, they feed of the portion of the meat shall destroy him, and his armies shall overflow, and many shall fall down slain. Now, as I said, the commentators try to make historical events fit this, and most of them say that Antigon's epiphanies fulfill these verses. Well, we know that Antigon's epiphanies was a type of doubt which is to come.

And both of these kings shall do mischief, and they shall speak lies at one table, but they shall not prosper, for yet the end shall be at the time appointed. And once again, I point out that God has a time appointed for the final fulfillment of Daniel's prophecies or at the end of this age. Then shall he enter into his land with great riches, and his heart shall be against the Holy Covenant. And once again, the Holy Covenant, and he shall do exploits and return to his own land. Now, the Holy Covenant were things to truly be active, to be holy. God's presence has to be in them or around them. You remember when God appeared to Moses at the burning bush, he said, pull off your shoes for the ground on which you stand is holy. Now, God wasn't literally standing there, but his presence was in view in the burning bush. And when God's presence is there, it's like oftentimes in Scripture, you will read the holy city or the holy Jerusalem that is speaking in historical terms, in the modern-day terms, and in the times at the end, as you read in Revelation, Revelation 11, that at the end of the age, Jerusalem is called Sodom and Egypt, two of the most sinful nations on the face of the earth, in the historical end, also in the time since. So then shall he return to his land. So after doing what he did, and once again, the duality is in view, doing what he did in Tygus, it returns to his own land, which reaches in his heart, is against the holy covenant, and he shall do exploits and return to his own land. And at the time appointed, he shall return and come toward the south. But it shall not do as in the former or in the latter time. For the ships of Kitim, in Kitim, oftentimes, every source that I can find says that the ships of Kitim are the ships of Cyprus, which is an island in the Mediterranean.

And some say, as you know, at the end of the, at the time that Christ was born, and during his minister here on earth, the Romans were in charge of the, what we call the Holy Land or Israel today. And some say, well, the ships of Kitim or the ships of Cyprus were those of Rome, but that has not been proven either. And the thing about the commentary is what the commentator does, he goes through and he says, so and so said such and such and so and so said such and such. But then I think the better choice is, and he proceeds with that. So we have to try to, if we're following the Bible, we try to follow the best we have to go by in reading the scriptures. Therefore, he shall be grieved in return and have any mention against the Holy Covenant. So he knows what he's going to do to the holy people, to God's people, to Israel, but he wants to keep it secret until the time appointed. So shall he do. He shall even return and have intelligence within and forsake the Holy Covenant. So there are a lot of people who are going to fall for the deceptions that are going to be on display as you read about in 2nd Thessalonians chapter 2 and other places in Revelation, where this one is able to call fire down from heaven. An arm shall stand on his part, arms, and he shall believe the sanctuary. And so Antaeus of Epiphanes, or Antaeus the Great, he did believe the sanctuary, offering swines of blood and also set up a statue of Jupiter Olympus, one of the great gods. And shall take away the daily sacrifice, and they shall place the abomination that makes desolate. Now the abomination of desolation is spoken of by Daniel, by Matthew, and Christ gives credence to Daniel's prophecy in Matthew 24 and verse 15, which we have read a couple of times, maybe three or four times, I don't know, but anyhow, we'll read it again. And the setting up the abomination of desolation marks the beginning of the tribulation. In Matthew 24 and verse 15. Matthew 24 verse 15.

And when you shall therefore see the abomination of desolation spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place, whosoever let him breathe. And it talks about what they need to do, those who are there to get out of Jerusalem at that time, because the great destruction is going to come. And the Roman armies did come and destroy the cities, destroy the city later on. And then we pick it up again. But then shall be great tribulation when the abomination of desolation is set up. And that marks a countdown to the end, as we shall see in Daniel chapter 12. Such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time known or ever shall be. So the setting up the abomination of desolation marks the countdown. And such is due wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries. And as I said, there will be Jews who forsake, there will be Christians who turn in. There will be nominal Christians. They're like the rhinos, Republican in name only, when they're really something else. But they won't be Christians. They'll turn into relatives, friends, and so on, to save their own lives. But in so doing, they forfeit eternal life. But the people they do know, that do know their God, shall be strong and do exploits. And they understand among the people shall insuring many, yet they shall fall by the sword and by flame, by captivity and spoil for many days. And that is during the Great Tribulation. And when they fall, they shall be helped with a little help. But many shall cleave to them with flatteries. And that's what a lot of people do is cleave to others that they know are with it. And they claim to be with it, but they really aren't. And some of them of understanding shall fall to try them and to purge and to make them white to the time of the end. And that word in Q-E-T has in the, I guess it's, I don't remember, it's in the Hebrew, the Chaldean, means the absolute end of time, because it's yet for a time appointed. And once again, we see the time appointed. So what transpired historically was just that. It was fulfilled historically, to some degree, but the greater and final fulfillment is coming at the end of the age. And his king shall do according to his will. And he's called the willful king. And he shall exalt himself and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvelous things against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished, for that that is determined shall be done. Then he speaks against God, and that is also given in Revelation chapter 13 verses 6 and 7.

Now we go on. Neither shall he regard, neither shall he regard the God of his fathers, once again, not about the God of the fathers, nor the desire of women. There's a lot of discussion about the desire of women. Some commentators think that it has to do with the various gods, the various gentile groups, and some think that it has to do with the desire of a woman to give birth to Messiah.

In fact, a story was written, a book was written, called A Tree Grows in Brooklyn. There's one of the largest Jewish settlements and population in the world in a closed space in Brooklyn, New York, and the women who would get pregnant would think, well, maybe I will be the one.

By saying that, they meant maybe I'll be the one who gives birth to the Messiah because they rejected the one that was given birth by Mary, which you find listed in the Bible. Nor the desire of women nor regard any god, for he shall magnify himself above all. He sits in the temple of God, as it says in 2 Thessalonians chapter 2 verse 4, saying that he is God. So he places himself above all gods and says that he is God.

Now, some of the commentators say, well, no human being would really say that he is God. Yet, as we read in Matthew 24, 24, the deception is going to be so strong that even those, it says, if it were possible, the very elect would be to see. So what keeps you from being to see? Loving the truth and for God, through God's grace, you were not deceived, and you do not fall for the light that he that sits in the temple of God is God, the false Messiah. But in his estate, he honored the God of forces.

The God of forces means the God of portraises or munitions. And a God whom the fathers knew not, shall he honor with gold and silver and with precious stones and pleasant things. As things stand today, the strongest military on the face of the earth is the United States of America.

They have bases in at least 137 and there's probably more countries. I heard this week on the news that they have 63,000 soldiers stationed in Europe. And so when it goes, that is not to say that it's speaking in the United States, but I'm just saying that, of course, you hear very often that munitions shall stand on its part. We want a strong military.

We want to have the strongest military in the world and everyone will be afraid to attack us. Yet we know that we are sooner or later going to come to judgment and we are going to fall. He shall also enter into the glorious land. Now that land, the glorious land, is the land given by covenant to Abraham and the Abrahamic covenant.

And you can read about that in Genesis 15. He shall enter into the glorious land and many countries shall be overthrown, but these shall escape out of his hand. Edom, God is more angry with Edom, it seems, than with any country on the face of the earth, the Edomites. Of course, it goes back to Jacob and Esau. It says in Genesis 36 that Esau is Edom and there were 12 princes that came from Edom.

And God has nothing good to say about Edom. If you would turn to Isaiah, hold your place where you are, turn to Isaiah 34 and we'll see that when Jesus Christ returns to this earth, he's going to begin at Edom in Basra, which is the capital of Edom. In Isaiah 34 verse 5, whereby sword shall he bathe, for my sword shall be bathed in heaven, it shall come down upon Edom.

Edom is another name for Edom. And upon the people of my curse, to judgment, the sword of the Lord is filled with the blood. It is made with fatness, and with the blood of lambs and goats, and the fast of the kidneys. A ram for the Lord has a sacrifice in Basra. Basra is the capital of Edom of Edom, and a great slaughter in the land of Edomia. And so it goes on talking about what is going to happen to Edom. Verse 8, for it is the day of the Lord's vengeance. Do you remember that Jesus stood up and read from the scroll, and you read Isaiah 61, and when he came to the day of vengeance, he sat down and didn't read it?

For the day of vengeance is coming, and the year of recompense, for the controversy of Zion. And Zion, of course, is a geographical place. It's oftentimes used synonymously with Jerusalem, and it's also symbolic of the Church. Now, why does these nations escape out of the hands of Abish power? But it says that Edom escapes. So 41 again, and he shall enter into the glorious land, and many shall be overthrown.

They shall escape out of his hands, even Edom and Moab, and the chief of the children of Ammon or Ammon. Ammon is the capital of Jordan, so basically the Moabites are, of course, the children of Moab. And Mason hearkens back to Lot's daughters that when Lot and his daughters fled Sodom, they went to up to the mountains, and Lot got drunk, and his daughters had intercourse with them, and each one each night, and they gave birth to Moab and Ammon. And the Moabites, of course, were one of the ones that hindered the Israelites on their way to the Promised Land.

God has nothing good to say about the Moabites. You would turn to Zechariah chapter 4, and we shall see that. So why does God say that these three escape? I do not know, because he is very angry with them when all is said and done. I think I said Zechariah. What I want is Zephaniah. Zephaniah chapter 2.

This is the only place in the Bible, you know, if I can get there. The only place in the Bible where it tells you what you can do to be protected from, specifically, what you can do to be protected from the time of great tribulation. So in Zevaniah chapter 2, let's read these first two or three verses that talk about what you need to do to be protected. Gather yourselves together, O nation, not desire. Of course, the church will be under heavy persecution at the end of this age. Before the decree, bring forth before the day pass as a child. Before the fierce anger of the Lord comes upon you. Before the day of the Lord's anger come upon you. Seek ye, Lord, all ye meat of the earth, which have wrought his judgment and righteous. Seek righteousness, seek meekness. It may be that you should be hid in the day of the Lord.

Then he begins to talk about Moab. Look at verse 7. And the coast shall be for the remnant of the house of Judah, and they shall feed their upon. The houses of Astra, shall lay and shall they lie down in the evening for the Lord their God shall visit them and turn away their captivity. And I have heard the reproach of Moab and the revelings of the children of Ammon, whereby they o'erspread my people and magnified themselves against their border. Therefore, I have said, the Lord of hosts has said, the God of Israel surely Moab should be as Sodom and the children of Ammon as Gomorrah. Even the breeding of nettles and saltpits and a perpetual desolation, the residue of my people shall spoil them, and the remnant of my people shall possess them. So God has nothing good to say about Edom and Moab and Ammon, all three of those, and Moab and Ammon are somewhat the same.

Now I want to go back to verse 40. And there is great controversy over verse 40.

And at the time of the end shall the king of the south push at him. So who is the him? Well, some of the commentators say that the him is the will of king, verse 31. Some of the commentators say it is a Roman prince. Some say that it is Rome. Of course, the piggacy has an armed guard, at least the Jesuits do, but they do not command. They've asked the army.

Some say, well, it is the pope and the false prophet.

But notice what it says. And at the time of the end shall the king of the south push at him. The big question is who is the him? And the king of the north shall come against him like a whirlwind with chariots and with horsemen and many ships. And he shall enter into the countries and shall overthrow and pass over, overflow and pass over. The one that overflows and passes over is the will of king. Even though he is contested by the king of the south and the king of the north. Now, you may lean toward the interpretation that the king of the south is maybe the Muslim world and the king of the north is the Roman world and the Catholic Church.

But whichever one it is, the beast power overflows and he enters into verse 41, the glorious land.

And let's notice what he does.

Be sure you... Now, let's look at verse 6 before we go there. Now, just to bear the grammar, some talk about this ground. I'm going to read from a...

This is by John F. Boulvoort. Boulvoort is one of the preeminent scholars having with regard to prophecies and revelations of Daniel. This is what it says, although Daniel is not specific. A plausible explanation of this passage, that is Daniel 1140, is the light of Daniel's Jewish background is that the expression, the desire of women, the natural desire of Jewish women, become the mother of the promised Messiah. Well, we talked about that.

The one that I wanted to read in conjunction with chapter 11 is this one. This is what Boulvoort writes concerning Daniel 1140. A major exegetical, that is exegetical, exegesis, means explanation, interpretation problem, is the reference of verse 40 where it says, and he shall enter into the countries and shall overflow and pass over. The question is whether he refers to the king of the south, the king of the north, or the former world ruler who is defending his empire. In the light of context which follows, the preferable is to take the he as referring to the king of 1136, the world ruler.

So whichever one, whichever interpretation you take, of course, I take the one that the Bible seems to indicate to me that this one that passes over is the Beech Power.

Now, some say that the Beech Power is the European power, and for 10 countries to arise in Europe and to arm themselves and to have the infrastructure necessary to fulfill Revelation 18 in commercial Babylon, you would have to entirely redo the world's structure with regard to finance and the infrastructure having to do with the great trade centers of the world. What are the great trade centers of the world? Well, Wall Street is close to being number one in New York City. Then the city of London within the city of London is a city within a city in London, Frankfurt in Germany, and the one in Hong Kong, the one in Shanghai, and the one in Japan. Millions of dollars are passed through these channels every day. World finance, world currency depends upon this infrastructure.

So, should consider that in your studies with regard to the infrastructure of the financial community of the world, there's no way that any nation in today's world can maintain the standard of living that they have currently can become totally independent. Most of the batteries that the US uses come from Taiwan and China. Most of the drugs that are prescribed by our doctors come from China, some from Germany. Then automobile parts come from Germany, from Mexico, from Japan, from Canada, and from other countries, as well as some of the more intricate, delicate parts. And so, even the United States is more capable of being totally independent than probably any other country in the world, because it probably can feed its people, and it probably will have enough energy. But the financial structure will be a quite a different thing than what it is now. Well, that's just something to think about in your studies. Hopefully, there will be follow-up study to what we're talking about.

Now we continue here in Daniel 11, verse 42. He shall stretch forth his hand also upon the countries, and the land of Egypt shall not escape. But he shall power over the treasures of gold and of silver, and over all the precious things of Egypt, and the Libyans and the Ethiopian shall be at his steps, shall be right near. You know, there are a lot of people in Ethiopia who claim to be original Christians. Many Ethiopians trace their Christianity and their biblical knowledge all the way back to the Queen of Sheba, who was evidently from Ethiopia, who visited Solomon, and according to history, and some legend, of course, that they had sexual relations, and she fathered, Menelik, and a great empire was developed. But Ethiopia counts itself. They have many, many Bibles in Ethiopia, and they, as a nation, they count themselves to be Christian. At one time, Mr. Armstrong even wrote that Haile Selassie, the emperor of Ethiopia, or king, I don't know which title he had, was the king of the south.

Of course, that was not true.

It is the fact that one nation conquers another nation, does that make that nation the king. We could go back to World War II and say the United States kind of conquered Germany, Italy, Austria, a big part of Turkey, the Middle East, North Africa, and many other places. They were the conquerors, and therefore they are the kings of it. But that was not the case. In fact, the United States, their marshal plan, helped rebuild both, mainly Germany and Europe, and we helped rebuild Japan after the dropping of the two bonds. But he shall have power over the treasures of gold and silver, and over all the precious things of Egypt, and the Ethiopians and the Ethiopians shall be at his steps.

But tidings out of the east, and of course China is to the east, and out of the north, Russia is to the north, shall trouble him, and therefore he shall go forth with great fury to destroy and utterly to take away many. Now some commentaries say this literally means to take their lives, not to just take them away somewhere into captivity, but to kill them. And he shall plant the tabernacle of his palace between the seas and the glorious Holy Mountain.

And he shall come to his end, and no one shall help him. Of course, we can call it the glorious Holy Mountain because historically God did dwell in that area. And one time his presence was there, the Ark of the Covenant. When Solomon built his temple, God's presence filled the tabernacle. And so great was the glory of it. In light of it, they had to, in a sense, flee to get out of there. Now we come to chapter 12.

In chapter 12, and at the time, and at that time, when all this is going on, shall Michael stand up, the great prince, which stands for the children of your people, that is Israel, and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was, since there was a nation even to the time of the end. So the great tribulation, Matthew 24 verses 20-21. And at that time, your people shall be delivered, everyone that shall be found, written in the Book of Life. Now you have to be written in the Book of Life to escape.

And we're familiar with, we've turned there numerous times. I'm just going to quote in Revelation 13-8. It says that all the nations are going to worship Satan the Devil through the beast power, everyone whose names are not written in the Lamb's Book of Life. We want to make sure our name is written in the Lamb's Book of Life.

So everyone that shall be found, written in the Book, in the Book, and many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake the resurrection. Some to everlasting life, some ashamed and everlasting content. Those who would try to make Daniel into a historical book. Of course, this throws all of that into doubt because here is the resurrection being spoken of. Jesus Christ was resurrected. You shall be resurrected as a glorious radiant spirit being. And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament, and they that turn minute to righteousness as the stars forever and ever.

But you, Daniel, shut up the book and seal the book, and to the time of the end, once again that word, many shall run to and fro, knowledge shall be increased. And then I, Daniel, looked.

I, Daniel, looked, and behold there stood other two, the one on the one side of the bank of the river and the other on the other side of the bank of the river. And one said to the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, how long shall it be to the end of these wonders? And I heard that man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he held up the right hand and his left hand unto the heaven, and swore by him that lives forever, that it be for a time, times, and a half, when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, shall all these things be finished. So at the end of the great tribulation. And I heard, but I understood not. Then said I, O my Lord, what shall be the end of these things? Once again, the time after time in the book of Daniel, it talks about the very end of days. Verse 9, and he said, Go your way, Daniel, for the works are closed up and sealed to the time of the end. Many shall be purified and made white and tried, but the wicked shall do wickedly. None of the wicked shall understand, but the wise shall understand. And of course, all of those who keep the commandments of God, who walk in a position of justification with God in Christ, in each member of the body of Christ, they will have their names written in the Lamb's Book of Life. They don't have anything to worry about. And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, we read about that being taken away in Daniel 11.31, also in Matthew 24.15, and the abomination that makes desolate set up, there shall be 1290 days. Blessed is he that waits and comes to the thousand and three hundred and thirty-five days. So that's 45 more days. And if you go back to three and a half years, 1260, that would be 50 and 35, 85 days from the fulfillment of how long will it be, 1260 days. That's that 85 days. I don't know. The Bible doesn't say exactly what is happening during that period of time. But go your way till the end, where you shall rest and stand in your lot at the end of the days. And believe me, they're speaking about the end days. So what we want to do, we'll go a bit over time. We haven't gone over time of any significant note all the time. And I want to summarize to a large degree what we have studied here are the major prophetic parts. The major prophetic parts are chapters two, chapter seven, chapter eight, chapter nine, chapter eleven, and chapter twelve. So what are these chapters about? And I hope that you will follow up and study chapter two, the world's principal powers that affected the Holy Land. And see, all of the Bible is written surrounding the Holy Land. That little plot of land there that we call the Holy Land Israel, Palestine. Different names are given to it. But it's it's holy because God has chosen that for His place. The capital of the world will be in Jerusalem and Zion, according to Isaiah 2 verses of winter four. You'll go up there to keep the peace. It also says in Zechariah 12.

So in chapter two, we see the four great world powers. We see the head of gold Babylon. We see the belly, the Greco-Macedonian, which conquered Babylon. We see the Alexander the Great, and we see the Roman Empire. See, all of this, all of these prophecies are end up in probably the summary to some degree of these prophecies are Revelation 12 and 17. Now Revelation 19 and Revelation 16 have a lot to say about what happens. Of course, all of that from especially from Revelation 12 on forward. The two witnesses appear. Jerusalem is divided.

So chapter two, in a sense, gives us an overview, and it tells us what's going to happen at the end of the age. At the end of the age, there will be a kingdom set up that shall never end. That we find time after time, a kingdom being set up that shall never end.

Chapter two to seven introduces four contemporary beasts and the little horn, the little horn, who is the in-time beast who wears out the saints and beasts against God, and speaks, I'm sorry, a beast who wears out the saints and speaks against God. I've talked about that several times, of speaking against God, claiming that he is God. Revelation 13 verses five through eight, especially, we've already referenced tonight, speaks about that.

Chapter seven also reveals the coming judgment of the nations and the ancient of days and the opening of the books and the coming of Jesus Christ. I think we should turn there and read about that just to rehearse that so that we keep that in view. But so much is revealed right there.

And Daniel chapter nine through verse 14, the judgment is set, the books are open, the ancient of days is set. There's one inset verse which we'll note.

Okay, Daniel nine verse nine. To the Lord our God, belong mercies and righteousness. I see nine, seven, seven nine, Daniel seven nine, seven nine.

And as usual, six together.

Daniel seven nine.

I beheld to the, I beheld to, to the thrones were cast down, which we're going to sit on thrones as it says in Revelation 20. I beheld to the thrones were cast down in the ancient of days to sit, whose garment was white as snow, and his hair of his head like pure wool. It's thrown like death of a fiery flame, and its wheels as burning fire. You can read more about the throne of God in Ezekiel chapters one and two, the wheels and so on. The fiery stream issued and came forth from before him.

Thousands and thousands ministered unto him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him, and judgment was set, and the books were open. And they have a similar thing in Revelation chapter 20, where it says, a white throne, one sat on and the books were open, and so on.

I beheld then because of the voice of the great words which the horn spoke, I beheld even till the beast was slain, and the body's joy had given to the burning fire. Now Revelation 19.20 says, the beasts in Paul's prophet were cast in the lake of fire. As concerning the rest of the beasts, they had their dominion taken away. So these other beasts had their dominion taken away, and their lives were prolonged for a season. And I saw in the night visions, behold, one like the Son of Man, that's Jesus Christ. Very often, especially in Luke, Christ refers to himself as the Son of Man, one like unto the Son of Man.

Came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the ancient of days to God, and they brought him near before him. And there was given him dominion, and glory, and kingdom, that all peoples, nations, languages should serve him.

His dominion is an everlasting dominion, and shall not pass away, and his kingdom, that which shall not be destroyed. So you see, that is contained in the book of Daniel. So much is contained in the book of Daniel, and we're rehearsing a little bit of that.

So the beast is just thrown in the fiery flame. You see Christ, the book's open, Christ approaching the throne. Chapter 8 describes more about the little horn. We read that tonight. He comes in peacefully, and through flatteries, he destroys the little people, or corrupts them. This is in harmony with Revelation 17-14. He fights against the returning Christ, but the force is destroyed. In chapter 9, the 70 weeks prophecy divided into three segments. Seven weeks, 62 weeks, and one week is yet to go. It says at the end of 62 weeks, and you have to add the 49, it's 69, so at the end of 69 weeks Messiah is cut off, then there's a week to go, which has not yet happened. And some say that Christ fulfills the three and a half years of that in his ministry, but I find no place where he made a covenant with anybody during that time. But he did, of course, fulfill his ministry. Even told the disciples, when you are converted, you'll understand these things. The last chapter in the book of Luke, he talks about, he opened their eyes of understanding and told them to wait in Jerusalem to receive power from on high, and so they waited, and they did receive that the Holy Spirit.

So chapter 9 in the 70 weeks prophecy, Christ was born in about 4 BC. There's no year zero, so you had one. So Christ was about 27 years old and the year zero. He continued on the scene until he was probably 30 and a half or so, and the day of Pentecost came, the Holy Spirit was sent to the church. Chapter 11 reveals the prophecy that we've just talked about, and Titus Epiphanus fulfilling it in type. The greater fulfillment, as we saw tonight, is yet to come. In chapter 12 we just covered, reveals the protector of Israel, Michael, the resurrection, the role of the saint, the role of the saints, with the turning meaning of righteousness, reveals knowledge increased, then the countdown after the abomination, desolation, is placed in the final countdown to the end 1335 days. So the fuller description of more events are described in Revelation 12 through the end of the book.

So there we have the Bible study tonight, and to end Daniel. So surely you have questions and comments tonight, so we'll entertain those. Let's not be bashful. Let's speak out. Let's not say to our friends, did he say such and such, or is such and such? Hey, Dr. Ward. Yes, sir. Yeah, thank you very much. I appreciate you taking the time to go through this. This is always very interesting to read and to look at the prophecies and prophecies that have come to pass, prophecies that will come to pass. And it always strikes me as we read these prophetic books, just the lack of references to the West, you know, to the United States. And there's just very, very little said, other than references, I guess, about Ephraim and Asa and going into captivity and things like that. It just kind of makes me think that when the end time does come, whatever happens to the United States will probably happen pretty quick. And it seems like we probably won't be around when some of these other things are taking place, at least not to the way we are now, not with the power that we have now.

Yeah, right. I think most people don't realize the power that the United States possesses at the present time. It is frightful to contemplate the power that we do possess we being United States.

Yeah, you're right. It does. It just, you know, it always just kind of, I always take notice just kind of at the lack of what's said about the West and end time prophecies. It's just very interesting. Yeah, to fulfill the prophecies along the normal lines that you might expect that we have historically talked about would take quite a long time. Right. Now, the speaking of a prophecy, God knows what He's doing. All I can hear on the news is well from the major channels, the ABC, NBC, CBS, all I can hear is we got a constitutional crisis from Fox. I hear, ain't it great what He's doing is going with jet speed. It's the world is being turned upside down. It's wonderful and so and so on. Yeah, we certainly seem to be expanding in our authority and our influence around the world right now, that's for sure. Right. Yeah, now, Trump spoke to Putin and Zelensky today, and who knows what will come of those conversations and then this idea of taking over Gaza. That's something else. I mean, that is frightful to contemplate.

There'll be some unhappy people about that, that's for sure. Yeah.

Okay, thank you, Jim. Anybody else? Dr. Ward, in chapter 11, verse 33, we read that those are the people who understand, shall instruct many, but I always understood there'd be a famine of the word during the tribulation. And this is obviously talking about the tribulation. It talks about sword and flame and captivity and plunder. So, I assume that the famine of the word has to do with being done by church broadly, and this is more on an individual basis. Is that correct? For those who understand and shall instruct many, verse 33, in chapter 11. Yeah, there's... I think we're already in the famine of the word, because there's a pitiful... if you take the world's population of eight plus billion, how many really understand? I understand it. And even those, I mean, there's some... There's... I guess you would call them very interesting documentaries out there on YouTube and various other sources. But they don't get it. They don't understand the plan, the purpose of God, of what He's doing in the ultimate sense. They can bring historical and other kinds of information into view. But to answer your question specifically, I cannot. It seems like a contradiction in a way. But those that understand, I mean, my understanding, of course, I've studied the Bible pretty intently for... Oh, I began as a child. I was quoting Sunday school at age six. So that... you can guess how many years I've been headed. So, did you come to the point that it just flows naturally, kind of thing? I mean, I don't know how to answer that per se. Okay. A famine of the Word, there's coming a famine of the Word. And I've heard what's regarded that and even covered that in covering Amos and minor prophets in the past. A famine of the Word with regard to the hearing of the Word, that the ears are stopped and they won't hear as it says in Ezekiel 33. Well, we'll go see what he has to say, but we really don't think much of it.

That kind of attitude, I think that attitude sweeps the church at the present time. And you read Ezekiel 33, the last few verses there, about the... first of all, it starts off with a watchman set up in the land and then it talks about the end time and the hearing falls on deaf ears. Tonight we had 18 participants, the lowest ever in our final class, and I don't understand it myself. So...

Well, you know, even in the end time during the Great Tribulation, you'll have the two witnesses out there, you know, proclaiming God's truth and a lot of people will hear it, but you don't really read about people repenting, coming to repentance because of it. Like you said, if you're stopped up... And at the same time, there has to be a support team for...

for those... for the two witnesses. I mean, they can't just be all on their own. If you read about in Revelation chapter 11, it says, uh, in a great earthquake after the two witnesses were killed in a great earthquake, and the 7,000 were affrighted. Well, who are the 7,000?

7,000 or affrighted, but it doesn't say they're destroyed or whatever. Have you ever read that and focused on it? Probably not. I focused on the first sermon I gave in United, based in Kentucky, and there was a guy there, a minister, who wanted to do me in, and so he recorded that I was saying that his place of safety is Jerusalem. Well, all I know is what the Bible says in Revelation chapter 11. In Revelation chapter 11, verse 13, in the same hour was there a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city, that's Jerusalem fell, and in the earthquake were slain of members 7,000, and the remnant were affrighted. Who is the remnant? The remnant were affrighted and gave glory to God of heaven. See, there's a no matter what one might see, there's a remnant in Jerusalem when this takes place. It's what it says in the Bible. Either the Bible is true or is not. You read that? Everybody? Yeah, and that's even this part of verse 13 is at the end of the, right near the end of the, after the witnesses have preached for what, three and a half years? They're slain in verse, what, seven? Right, yeah. The beast that it sends out of the bottom of his pit, they send gifts and so on to them, and then this great earthquake and the 7,000 are killed, but the remnant is made afraid, and who is the remnant? Oh, verse 11 says that great fear fell on those who saw them resurrected, saw the breath of life of God entering them, and they stood on their feet, and great fear fell on those who saw them. I wonder if it's some of the same people? No, we're talking about the remnant in 14.

See, the earthquake came 7,000 or so in the remnant. There's a remnant not touched by the earthquake or the what's going on. That's verse 13. Yeah, 13. I said 14.

And they gave glory to the God of heaven. I mean, you would not be of the other side of the coin and give glory to the God of heaven because they're rejoicing over the killing of the two witnesses in the preceding verses. And then here's a remnant that gives glory to the God of heaven.

So who is that remnant? There is a remnant in Jerusalem. That's what the Bible says. God knows those who are His. Well, the Laodiceans are alive during the tribulation, or at least part of them. So maybe they're part of the remnant.

Well, evidently, you try to read between the lines and the Torah. It's difficult to read between the lines when you're talking about prophecy. But the two witnesses have to have some kind of support. They're going to have to have a... they can't stay awake for three and a half years. Right. They're going to have to have a place to sleep. They're going to have to have something to eat. And who's going to do... who's going to support them? It seems there has to be some kind of support for them. If they can do it on their own, maybe God reigns food from heaven. I don't know. He rained food from heaven on Israel going to the promise land. He can do whatever he wants to, but generally... Oh, Christ called the... sorry. Go ahead. I was going to say, Christ, when he's addressing the different churches to the Laodiceans, he referred to them as a church. So evidently, they have some sort of support during, you know, they exist during the... they exist now, but I'm saying carried over into the tribulation to have to suffer that, to be woken up. So evidently, it makes sense that they would have some kind of assembly or church or something, like you said, to give support to the two witnesses, perhaps. Well, don't forget Revelation 7. Turn back there.

Revelation 7 in an innumerable multitude.

Where did they come from?

The Tribulation. Out of great tribulation. Right.

It seems like a lot of people coming out of the Tribulation that's following God. Verse 14, I said unto him, Sir, don't you know? And he said to me, these are they which came out of great tribulation, which washed their robes and made them white. In the blood of the Lamb of God.

There's a lot of things.

When we really get down to fine-toothing what the Bible says, it's different from just listening to a sermon and glossing over a bunch of scriptures. It's when you get down to the nitty-gritty of what it actually says, you might see a different thing.

So here's a great multitude that comes out of great tribulation.

Go ahead, Ken. The three time periods you were talking about in Daniel 1335, 1290, 1260, I presume that all three of those end with the returning of Christ. So you'd have to basically back up from the return to Christ, whenever that is, and back up that time period. Is that correct? Think that way? Well, the 1260 is given for the time of the tribulation and for the time of the witnesses. Now, from the time that the abomination of desolation is placed, it says 1260 days, then there are 85 more days, 50 and 35, 85. In addition to the 1260, the Bible is not clear on what is happening during that period of time. Is that what you're saying? Yeah, the 1260 and then back up 30 days and then back up 35, but it ends at Christ's return. That's the only secure time period, and we don't know when that is, but that's the only fixed date you could actually say, well, here's when Christ returns, so this time period ends at that point. The end of the tribulation, the end of the day of the Lord and all that is within the 1260, but then, unless I misunderstood something, at the end of that is when Christ returns. That's what brings about all the change and so forth. Well, it does bring forth the changes. If you go to Revelation 11, let's go there.

When do we say that Christ comes?

The Feast of Trumpets. Yeah, I didn't know what you're asking exactly. It's the seventh trump.

Verse 15 of Revelation 11, 15. Well, let's read 14 because 14 is important. The second woe is passed, and behold, the third woe comes quickly. The third woe comes quickly.

And the seventh angel sounded, and there were great voices in heaven, saying, the kingdoms of our God and our Christ, of the Lord and of His Christ, and of He shall reign forever and ever. So the resurrection takes place at the seventh trump. Then there are several events that take place during that seven, during that period of time. I'm going to go into the way we understand it and teach it. We teach that the day of trumpets, what is the day of trumpets symbolized?

The second come.

And then you see that the resurrection takes place. In fact, in chapter 10, it says, and when the seventh angel begins to sound, it shall be finished. That's in Revelation 10.7. And in the day of the voice of the seventh angel, when he begins to sound, the mystery of God should be finished. Well, what the mystery of God is how can flesh become spirit? How can a fleshly human being become a spirit being? And it is through the resurrection becoming a spirit being. As I said one time, I saw a great bumper sticker. This was years ago in Tyler that says, God's great recycling plan, the resurrection. Oh, I think they're bumper stickers says God's great recycling plan, the rapture.

Either way, you take it.

And really what people are talking about the rapture, they are equating rapture with resurrection.

Thank you. Thank you for all the instructions and taking your time out of your life to do this.

It's the love of my life.

Yes, I'll take a little break now. We finished that. And the audience gets smaller.

People lose interest. And another thing about it is, it's a good thing and it's a bad thing. You like to have a live audience. A live audience helps a lot. But then all of it is generally posted on the church's website, both local and the home office. And so people from all over the world can get the Bible said if they're a Monty. That's true, I'd rather get the horse's mouth, as we used to say. Yeah, it's more exciting for the horse than the rider. Anybody else have a question or comment?

Okay, we'll see you sometime down the road. I don't know when.
