So good evening again, everyone. Welcome to the Bible Study this evening. We're starting in Isaiah 9 and verse 7. Isaiah 9 and verse 7. Last time we covered Isaiah 9.6, the last part. We talked about how God the Father is the one that begets us and that Jesus Christ is everlasting in the sense that He will always be there and always be ready to take care of us. In Isaiah 9.7 it says of the increase of His government. His government is going to increase. A lot of people have speculated as to exactly what that means. And so far the speculation, I have not seen a speculation that I'm really comfortable with.
And peace there shall be no end upon the throne of David. So Jesus Christ is going to sit on the throne of David in Luke 1.32. If you want to turn to these scriptures, I will read them quickly to you in Luke 1.32. It says that He will give him the throne of His Father David, a great and precious promise that has been given. A lot of people don't understand that the promise made to David that there would always be one to sit on His throne. And that one is Jesus Christ in the ultimate sense. The ultimate fulfillment of Luke 1.32 is Jesus Christ. So we read Luke 1.32 right here right now. I'm turning there. So hopefully you're at Luke 1.32.
He shall be great and shall be called the Son of the Highest, and the Lord God shall give unto Him the throne of His Father David. Now we note further with regard to this, the promise made to David and how it's fulfilled in Christ in Acts 2 and verse 29. So if you would turn now to Acts 2 and verse 29. In Acts 2 and 29, we shall see that Jesus Christ is the one that will sit on the throne of David forever in the kingdom of God. In Acts 2 and verse 29, men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David. He's both dead and buried. We mentioned John 3.13 in the past, which says that no man is ascended into the heavens except the Son of Man who came down from heaven.
And his sepulcher is with us unto this day, therefore being a prophet. So this is one of the places that says that David is a prophet, was a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him that of the fruit of his loins.
Now this is called the Davidic covenant. In a moment, I'll name the other two covenants that are so important. The Davidic covenant, that there would always be one to sit on his throne, that out of the fruit of his loins, and of course, David, time after time in the New Testament, Jesus Christ is referred to as the Son of David.
And the genealogy that is given in Matthew 1 clearly tells us, and also in Luke 3, that Jesus Christ descended physically from David. With the fruit of his loins according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne. He, seeing this before, spoke of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul, his life essence, was not left in Hades, neither his flesh did it see corruption.
This Jesus, as God raised up, were we all witnesses. And now he's setting, the next verse says, at the right hand of God. The Bible tells us that when Christ returns to the earth, he will establish himself as king. The headquarters will be in Jerusalem, and he will be sitting on the throne of David. Of course, the great verses there in Isaiah chapter 2 verses 1 through 4 clearly show us that he will be sitting on the throne of his Father David, and the Word of God will go out from Zion and from Jerusalem. In addition to the Davidic Covenant, which we just talked about, there are two other unconditional covenants, and there are more, but these are three of the most important ones.
Abrahamic Covenant promised Israel a land, a posterity, and a ruler, and spiritual blessings. We know from Galatians 3 verses 15, 16, 17 that the seed of Abraham that he is referring to is the seed Jesus Christ. So if you be in Christ, then you see the seed of Abraham. That's in Galatians 3. I think it's verse 25. I'm not turning there at the moment.
Well, maybe we will just turn to Galatians chapter 3 and read that promise of the Abrahamic Covenant. The ultimate fulfillment of it is in Christ. That is in the spiritual side. Of course, the physical side is also giving those who live over into the millennium. They will be returned to the land, and they will inherit the land that was promised to Abraham in the Abrahamic Covenant. So there is the physical promise. There is the spiritual promise. Galatians 3, in verse 27, for as many as the U.S. have been baptized into Christ, and put on Christ, there is neither Jew, there is neither bond or free, there is neither male or female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
And if you be in Christ, then are Abraham's seed and heirs according to the promise. So the Abrahamic Covenant will be fulfilled at the return of Christ. Remember from Isaiah what we are talking about. In Isaiah 9-7, it says the increase of his government, there will be no end. And exactly what that increase is, does it mean more territories? Some have even speculated that maybe other planets would be settled and that kind of thing. But I'd rather just stick with the Bible, what it says.
And then there is the Palestinian Covenant promised to Israel at the restoration, that they'll be restored to the land and the occupation of the land. That's in Deuteronomy 30 verses 1-10. I'm not going to turn there. But those three Covenants, Abrahamic Covenant, the Davidic Covenant, and the Palestinian Covenant are three of the most important Covenants. At the Second Coming of Christ, these Covenants will be fulfilled. Israel is regathered from the nations. So we continue here in Isaiah chapter 9 verse 7. Continuing in Isaiah 9 verse 7.
Of the increase of his government and peace, there should be no end upon the throne of David. We showed how Christ will inherit the throne of David and through Christ, the Abrahamic Covenant and the Palestinian Covenant will be fulfilled. And upon his Kingdom, most of the time in the New Testament, the Kingdom of God is called the Kingdom of God. But in a couple of places, it is called the Kingdom of Christ. To order it, to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth, even forever, the Seal of the Lord of Hosts will perform this.
As we know, the flesh and blood cannot inherit the Kingdom of God. So in the millennium, there will be people who will live over into the millennium. Zephaniah describes those people that live over into the millennium. So if we would turn to Zephaniah chapter 3, and we'll read those that live over into the millennium. Those that live over into the millennium will constitute a part of the Kingdom, but they will be in the flesh.
We will be ministering unto them. Zephaniah chapter 3 verse 13, The remnant of Israel shall not do iniquity nor speak lies, neither shall a deceitful tongue be found in their mouth, for they shall feed and lie down, and none shall make them afraid. Seeing, O daughter of Zion, shout, O Israel, be glad and rejoice with all the heart, O daughter of Jerusalem. The Lord has taken away your judgment. He has cast out your enemy, the King of Israel, even the Lord is in the midst of you, and you shall not see evil any more. In that day it shall be said to Jerusalem, Fear you not, and design, let not your hands be feeble or weak. So in the Kingdom of God there are two phases to it. We might say there is the physical phase, there is the spiritual phase. Flashing blood cannot inherit the Kingdom of God, but those that have been resurrected and are now glorious, radiant, spirit beings will be ruling over the physical realm. The knowledge of God is going to fill the earth as sand fills the seashore. Notice that last sentence there, the zeal of the Lord of Hosts will perform this. So God is going to make sure that this is fulfilled. Remember that God the Father works through Jesus Christ. In verse 8, the Lord sent a word unto Jacob. Jacob represents usually all 12 tribes, and Jacob usually represents Israel in the flesh, and it alighted upon Israel. Remember that prophecy is written in poetic form, and a lot of it is written in the double form so that one phrase reinforces the other phrase, the first phrase unto Jacob and then upon Israel. In verse 9, and all the people shall know even Ephraim, and Ephraim a lot of times is used generically for all of the 10 tribes of the northern Kingdom. Remember, Ephraim was the leading tribe until the time that the tabernacle was destroyed. It was pitched in Shiloh initially in Ephraim, and the tabernacle was destroyed. The ark was taken, and eventually David rescued it and brought it into the tabernacle that he built on Mount Zion.
So the inhabitant of Samaria, Samaria was the capital city of Ephraim, and let's say in the pride and stoutness of heart. So this is a rebellion, a rebellious kind of statement that the northern 10 tribes say because God had pronounced this judgment upon Israel through his prophets, and now instead of accepting the accepting what the prophets had said, they said in turn, okay, if you tear it down, here's what we're going to do. Verse 10, the bricks are falling down, but we will build with hewn stones. The sycamores are cut down, and we will change them into cedars.
For those of you who might remember Jonathan Cahn's book, The Harbinger, he made a great deal over this Isaiah chapter 9 and verse 10 in his book, and he continues to talk about it. He talks about Jonathan Cahn talks about events going on in the world today, how they parallel some of the warnings that were given to Israel before they were destroyed, and so these same warnings he says are being given to the US today, and one of the ones that he really focuses on is Isaiah 9.10. So here we find ancient Israel's leaders spoke in defiance of God's pronouncement of judgment. They said, okay, you're going to destroy it, we're going to rebuild it. On the day after 9.11, 9.11, when that horrible event took place, when the bomb hit the, when the planes hit the Twin Tower and the Pentagon, the day after Tom Daschle, a senator from South Dakota, quoted the, this verse, he quoted Isaiah 9 and verse 10. Here I'm quoting exactly what Tom Daschle said on that day. There's a passage in the Bible from Isaiah that I think speaks to all of us at times like this. The bricks have fallen down, but we will rebuild them with dress stones. The victory have been failed, but we will replace them with cedars. So that is what we will do. We will rebuild and we will recover, but people of America will stand strong together because of people of America have always stood together. It sounded good at the time, but the speechwriter didn't really understand what Isaiah 9 is all about, and the book of Isaiah, a warning to the nation of Israel, the northern kingdom, to repent, or else they would be destroyed and they would be taken into captivity. So Daschle has no idea of what he is saying. He has no idea of what it even means, but he does the same thing that the leaders of ancient Israel did before they were attacked that led to the judgment of the nation. He has no idea, or had no idea, of everything he says, according to Jonathan Cahn, which is prophetic. And of course, that is basically what Daschle said is basically the attitude that people have today. They have forgotten God, and there are many things that are happening in this world today that are perhaps harbingers, and a harbinger is a warning of that which is to come upon the world as God enters into judgment eventually with all nations.
Therefore, we continue now in Isaiah 9.11, therefore the Lord shall set up the adversaries of reason. Now, reason was the king of Syria, who had allied eventually with the king of Assyria, and join his enemies together. The Syrians before and the Philistines behind, and they shall devour Israel with open mouth, for all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still. So those covenants that we talked about, the Abrahamic Covenant, the Davidic Covenant, the Palestinian Covenant, those covenants are still to be fulfilled. And of course, the Davidic Covenant is yet to be fulfilled with Christ actually taking that seed and rule. Right now, Israel is ruled by human beings, but the Abrahamic Covenant to some degree is being fulfilled right now with Jesus Christ, because if you be in Christ, then are your Abraham seed and heirs according to the promises. Now in Isaiah 9.12, we continue here, for all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still. So in spite of all the things that they might say, God says, I'm still willing to forgive you and to forget. God apparently can forget. Human beings can forgive, but basically they do not forget. For the people turns not unto him that smites them. So instead of turning to God, neither do they seek the Lord of hosts. Instead of saying, okay, you do this, we're going to do that, we're going to rebuild. The ancient and the honorable, he is the head and the prophet that teaches lies. He is the tail. For the leaders of this people cause them to err. And that will be the case. And every entity, basically, that you want to name on the face of the earth, the people will go especially moral and spiritually in the direction of the leadership, of the leadership, the nation, the state, the city, the county, any entity you want to name, and eventually down to the smallest institution we might say on the face of the earth, the family will go in the direction of its moral and spiritual leadership. And notice what it says once again. For the leaders of this people cause them to err. They lead them astray.
And we are witnesses to that is what has happened to in the Church of God in recent decades.
The leaders of this people cause them to err and they that are led of them are destroyed. So how many people were attending the worldwide Church of God in the early 1980s? Well, upwards of 150,000, maybe not quite that many. How many are attending today? How many splinters are they? And so Satan is carefully scattering. Maybe he's not so carefully. Because it says in Daniel chapter 12 that when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, then the end time prophecies are going to rapidly come to pass. Maybe we should read that scripture in Daniel chapter 12. In Daniel chapter 12, we start in verse 4.
But ye, O Daniel, shut up the words and seal the book, even to the time of the end many shall run to and fro, knowledge shall be increased. Then I stood, and behold there stood other two, one on one side of the bank of the river, the other on the other side of the bank of the river.
And one said to the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, How long, how long shall it be till the end of these wonders? And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven and swore by him that lives forever, that it shall be for a time, times, and a half a time. And when he shall accomplish to scatter the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished. So Satan is trying his best to scatter the power of the holy people. And people don't seem to realize what they're doing. And a lot of people, in fact, I got a letter this week in which it was like, we no longer go to church, but we are devout Christians.
So you can ask, what about the Great Commission? Who is going to go into all the world in disciple all nations and teach them to observe all things? Who's going to do that? Are you going to do it when you and Jesus have your own thing going in your own little house or whatever it might be?
No, God has commissioned the church to take the gospel to the world. So the leaders have caused them to err and have caused them to go astray, as we have witnessed on many occasions. Now we're at verse 17. Therefore, the Lord shall have no joy in their young, neither shall have mercy on their fatherless and widows. In other words, the most helpful is the people of their nation or their tribe or whatever group it is, the very young, the fatherless, the orphans, the widows. For everyone is an hypocrite, an evildoer, and every mouth speaks folly. For all this, his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still. So once again, we point to that restoration, to those covenants being fulfilled. Abrahamic covenant, the Palestinian covenant, the Davidic covenant, all the things that God says, I'm willing to forgive you. Isaiah 9.18, for the wickedness burns as a fire. It shall devour the briars and thorns, and shall kindle in the thickets of the forest, and they shall mount up like the lifting up of smoke. Through the wrath of the Lord of hosts is the land darkened, and the people shall be as the fuel of the fire. No man shall spare his brother, and he shall snatch on the right hand and be hungry. In other words, it's like he's going to take a bite out of his own flesh, and he shall eat on the left hand, and they shall not be satisfied. How hungry can you get? So hungry that you're willing to eat your own flesh, not only your own flesh in the sense of offspring, but literally your own hand. They shall eat every man the flesh of his own arm.
How hungry can you get? Manasseh Ephraim and Ephraim Manasseh, and they together shall be against Judah. For all this anger, for all this, his anger is not turned away. So this is the third time. His anger is not turned away. His hand is still stretched out. All the long suffering of God. How willing, how patient, how long suffering is he? Now in chapter 10, the prophecy continues.
I don't know why they made a chapter break there, but this prophecy continues in chapter 10 and verse 1. Woe unto them that decree unrighteousness decrease, and the right grievousness which they prescribe. We see a lot of that going on today, and if you watch the news in recent times, there's some confused about who can wear masks and who can't wear masks and who should and who shouldn't.
And it's down now to everybody else that doesn't have to wear masks, but children. And children are the ones that are least susceptible to the disease. It's frightful of the various decrees that have been issued. And of course, the people are rising up against it, as witnessed in Canada by the truckers who have come in and brought Ottawa, the capital city, to stand still.
And probably that kind of demonstration is going to come to other countries as well, as well, including the United States. To turn aside the needy from judgment, and to take away the right from the poor of my people, that widows may be their prey, and that they may rob the fatherless. Time after time in Scripture, these categories of people are the ones that God is so concerned about that those who are helpless are taken advantage of.
And he who lays his hand against the innocent will eventually answer to God. And what will you do in the day of visitation? So what are you going to do when I really come and visit you and execute judgment? And in the desolation, which shall come from far, to whom will flee for help? And where will you leave your glory? Now, this word glory is not the word doxia that has that we talk about maybe in the New Testament. This has to do with their possessions that they take stock in and glory in.
Where will you leave your possessions? Without me, they shall bow down under the prisoners and they shall fall under the slain for all this. And once again, here it is, his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still. So time after time after time, God says that he is willing to forgive and forget and turn away his anger if they will only repent. In Isaiah 10 and verse 5, O Assyrian, the rod of mine anger and the staff in their hand is my indignation.
So I have sent you several handouts today. I've sent you four handouts. And these handouts are for steady purposes. I sent the handout of five Assyrian kings named in the Bible and the scriptural reference of where these kings are mentioned. The first one being Tiglath Polizer, the third. Tiglath Polizer is the one who really restored Syria.
And sometimes it is called the Neo-Syrian Empire. There was the classical, the old Assyrian Empire. Tiglath Polizer was the one who really restored the Neo-Assyrian Empire. Then there was Shalmaneser, Sargon, Sennacherib, Esirhaddon. And so these five kings were mentioned in the Bible. So I sent you a handout for their reference. It is for your study, and it has some very interesting information with it. Also, I sent you a handout on Asher.
Asher, and we want to look at this, the scriptures that deal with Asher. Because the words Asher, Assyrian, and Assyrian, and Asher, which is pronounced Asher, are all the same Hebrew word. So now let us turn to Genesis chapter 10. Now, why is this so important? Well, it's important for many, many reasons. Asher is often mentioned in the book of Isaiah. Assyria is mentioned quite often, even in the Pentateuch, as you will read if you go to those scriptures where those five kings are listed.
So in Genesis 10 verse 22, the children of Shem, Elam, and Asher, and are faxed and led and arum. So the descendants of Shem are basically called Semites, and from them we talk about the Semitic language. And with regard to Asher, we pick up Asher again in verse 22. Genesis 10, 22.
Well, that's what we just read. The children of Shem, Elam, Asher, are faxed, led, and arum. And Asher is the one who built, you look at verse 11 of Genesis, and out of the land went forth Asher and built Nineveh. Now then this is very important, because Nineveh is the capital city of Syria. And if you look at the handout that I gave on the kings, a lot of the kings, a part of their name has some of the part of Asher in it. Asher is used in the Bible 151 times. So Asher built Nineveh. Nineveh is the capital city of Assyria. Assyria fell in 612 BC at the hands of Nebuchadnezzar and the Babylonians, and the battle of Nineveh was the end of the Assyrian Empire to a large degree.
Now one of the other things about the Assyria, I sent you a handout on titles of the Antichrist. In several places in number 12 of this handout, you'll notice the Assyrian.
It quotes, first of all, what we've read here, Isaiah 10 and verse 5, O Assyrian, the rod of mine anger, the staff in their hand is mine indignation. Or for it shall come to pass when the Lord has performed his whole work upon Mount Zion and on Jerusalem. I will punish the stout heart of the King of Assyria and the glory of his Hylux. And in Isaiah 10 and verse 12, that was Isaiah 10-12. In addition, almost all pre-millennial students of prophecy are agreed that the king of Isaiah 30 and verse 33 is Antichrist. And interestingly, in these two verses, which precede this king, is identified with the Assyrians. So the Assyrian is often referred to as the Antichrist. It is a just a term that is used. And I sent this handout that has 24 titles of the Antichrist. So that, once again, is for your personal study. But Assyria was used and will be used as the rod of God's anger in punishing and judging the nations in the end time.
The Assyrian. Now, the Assyrian is not necessarily from Assyria. Let me say that once again. The Assyrian is not necessarily from Assyria. One of the things that you'll see in one of the things that the church has taught is that after they fall over Assyria, that they migrated westward into Germany. And a large part of Germany is made up of those of Assyrian descent. Also, that the tribes of Israel, the ten tribes, were taken to the west.
And they will finally wind up in, mainly in England and Ireland and in Scandinavia and other parts of western Europe. So the details of that migration are given in the U.S. Beastie and Prophecy. If you want to study that further. So I want now to look at Psalm 83 and verse 7. With regard to this, some speculated at some time in the past that they assumed that Germany was a part of, was Asher. In Psalm 83 and verse 7, Asher is spelled without the H. Psalm 83 and verse 7. Yebol, Haman, and Amalek, the Philistines, and inhabitants of Tyre. Verse 8, Asher, same Hebrew word also is joined with them, they have helped the children of Lot. Now the children of Lot were the Moabites and the Ammonites. Now there's debate of whether this prophecy has been fulfilled or not been fulfilled.
Some have speculated in verse 3, they have taken crafted counsel against your people and consulted against your hidden ones, that that is possibly referring to those in a place of safety at the end time. They have said, come and let us cut them off from being a nation that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance. And of course that continues today among many of these nations in the Middle East, especially Iran has said the same thing, Iraq has said the same thing, and some of the other nations, the Islamic nations, have said the same thing. But the two divisions of Islam, and especially the Sunni division of Islam, which is Iran is called the Sunni Republic of Iran. I think they leave out the word Sunni, but it's the Republic of Iran. It is a religious organization. It's a religious government where church and state are united, and the Ayatollah has the supreme authority. Where they have consulted together with one consent, they are confederate against you. The Tabernacles of Edom, the Ishmael ites, the Moabites, the Hagar, Hagar, Renin, Yeebal, Ammons, and so on. And then some read Asher here, also has joined with them, and they say, oh well, Germany has joined with them. But if Germany leads the EU, it would not be logical that they would also be joined with the Arab nations in attacking Israel. So I usually don't deal in speculation, but bringing that to your attention of what some have speculated, I do not necessarily speculate that myself. Okay, continuing here in, well, another comment I need to make with regard to this. In reading this literature of what various various divisions of the Church of God have written, some have written about Asher and Nimrod working closely together, because it says that Nimrod went forth into the land of Shinar, and that he built Babel, and then we have Asher going forth, and he builds Nineveh.
So some say, well, Nimrod and Asher work closely together. Then there are other articles, I have another article that says that Nimrod and Asher are one and the same people. So for those of you who are serious Bible studies that might want to serious Bible students, you might want to follow up on some of this and research it. You could do so.
I have a paper in which they try to make the case that Asher and Nimrod are one and the same person. But let's continue now back in Isaiah 10 and verse 6. I hope that you will carefully look at those handouts.
I will send him against an hypocritical nation, that against the people of my wrath will I give him a charge to take the spoil and to take the prey, and to lead them down the mire of the street. How be it, be that means not, so neither does his heart think so, but it is in his heart to destroy and to cut off nations not a few. Where he said, are not my princes altogether kings.
So a lot of these nations, they had little provinces in which there were kings over those areas, and then they had a king over all of the kings. Now verse 9 is not Calno, and so God says, okay, you want to say that you have done great works? Well, let's take a look at this. It's not Calno as Karkimesh. It's not Hamath as Arpad. It's not Samaria as Damascus as Mayan have found the kingdoms of the idols, whose graven images did excel them of Jerusalem and of Samaria. Shall I not, as I have done unto Samaria, and her idols, so do to Jerusalem and her idols. So God destroyed the idols of Calno, Karkimesh, Hamath, Arpad, Samaria, Damascus. And so he's saying, I will do the same thing to Judah if they don't repent. And he's going to do the same thing to, of course, the nations of the world.
It says in Isaiah that God is going to plead with all nations. Well, that's, I think, in Jeremiah. Shall I not, as I have done unto Samaria, and her idols, and do to Jerusalem and to her idols, wherefore it shall come to pass that when the Lord hath performed his whole work upon Mount Zion, and on Jerusalem I will punish the fruit of, I will punish the fruit of the stout heart of the king of Assyria, and the glory of his high looks. So here we see the king of Assyria, who is the Assyrian at the end of the age. See, when I have performed whole works upon Mount Zion and on Jerusalem, I will punish the fruit of the stout heart of the king of Assyria, and the glory of his high looks. For he said by the strength of my hand, and so the nations that are going to take rule in the days that lie ahead in the great tribulation, will think that they are doing this themselves with their great power and their great might and their great wisdom, but they are no more than pawns in the hands of God that he sends forth to punish his people for their sins. For he said by the strength of my hand I have done it, and by my wisdom, for I am prudent, I have removed the bounds of the people, and have robbed their treasures. And today you see the bounds of the people being removed.
And it seems that there is a willful removing of the bounds of the nations between our nation and Mexico. And the same thing has happened in other places as well, and will happen, and the rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer. Since COVID struck, there is no telling how much wealth the rich have been able to increase their holdings. It has been tremendous.
So they think they're doing this through their cunning and through their wisdom.
And my hand has found as a nest the riches of the people, as one gathers the eggs that are left, have I gathered all the earth.
So this rulership will include all the earth, as it says in Revelation 13, 7, and 8. And there was none that moved the wing open, the mouth, or peeped. People just let it happen. Silence gives consent. And so we see the freedoms of the people slipping away today. They've already slipped away from many nations. Shall the axe boast itself against him that he used therewith? In other words, are these nations going to boast against God? Or shall the saw magnify itself against him that shakes as if the rod should shake itself against them that lift up? Or as if the staff should lift up itself as it were no wood? In other words, are you going to put it in simple language? Are you going to try to come against your maker? That's what it's actually saying. Therefore shall the Lord, the Lord of hosts, send among his fat ones leanness, and under his glory he shall kindle a burning like the burning of a fire, and the light of Israel shall be for a fire, and his holy one for a flame, and it shall burn and devour his thorns and his briars in one day. So God is going to suddenly intervene, and he is going to make things right, and shall consume the glory of the forest and his fruit fulfill both soul and body, life, essence, and body. There's nothing left, and they shall be as when a standard-bearer faints, no life in it, and the rest of the trees of his forest shall be few. But a child may write them, and it shall come to pass in that day, in that day that the remnant of Israel we read about in Zev and I in 3 13, and such as her escape to the house of Jacob, shall no more again stay upon him that smote them.
They're not going to go to Assyria or to any other nation. They're not going to stay upon him that smote them, but shall stay upon the eternal, the holy one of Israel in truth. The remnant shall return. Here, once again, the three covenants and more.
In the Zev and I in 3 13 and to the end of the chapter, the remnant shall return, even the remnant of Jacob unto the mighty God. For though your people Israel be as a sand of the sea, yet a remnant of them shall return. The consumption decreed shall overflow with righteousness. In other words, the destruction will be overtaken, and in its place will be righteousness. For the Lord God of hosts shall make a consumption, even determined in the midst of all the land. Therefore, thus says the Lord God of hosts, O my people that dwell in Zion, be not afraid of the Assyrian, and he shall smite with a rod, and shall lift up his staff against you after the manner of Egypt.
Once again, the famine, and we read about in chapter 9 of people eating their own flesh off their arm, for yet for a little while the indignation shall cease. In Luke's version of the Olivet prophecy, it says, In your patience possess you your life essence. A lot of the time in the end times, and if you live in the end times, it will appear as if everything is hopeless. You will be tested to the very end of your being, but that morning it's going to be turned to beauty, ashes to beauty, as it says in Isaiah 61. For yet a buried little while, and that indignation shall cease, and mine anger in their destruction, and the Lord of hosts shall stir up the scourge for him according to the slaughter of Midian at the rock of Orem, and as the rod was upon the sea, Moses lifted up the rod and the seed departing, and the children of Israel walked through and dragged around. So shall he lift up after the manner of Egypt, and it shall come to pass in that day. When you see that prophetic utterance in that day, you know you're blending into the millennium, that his burden shall be taken away from off your shoulder. That is, the burden of the Assyrian. His yoke from off your neck, the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing. He has come to Aoth. He has passed to Migron. To Mitchmash. He has laid up his carriages. They're gone over the passage. They have taken up their lodgings at Gibeah, Raima. Raima is afraid Gibeah of Saul is fled. So this has to do with the fulfillment of the prophecies in that time. Lift up your voice, O daughter of Galium, because cause it to be heard under Laish, O poor Anathoth. Madmina is removed, and the inhabitants of Gibium gathered themselves to flee. As yet shall he remain at Nob that day. He shall shake his hand against the mount of the daughter of Zion, the hill of Jerusalem. Behold, the Lord, the Lord of hosts, shall lock the bough, the bough with terror, and the high ones of stature shall be hewn down, and the haughty shall be humble. And he shall cut down the thickets of the forest with iron, and Lebanon shall fall by a mighty one. So God is going to be true, of course, to his word. He will execute judgment upon all the nations in the end time, just as he executed judgment upon Israel at that time.
