The Courage of New Sight

From Darkness to Light

This message uses John 9 to show that spiritual sight requires courage—first to trust that suffering has purpose, then to obey God before clarity comes, and finally to stand for truth under pressure. The man born blind obeys Jesus while still in darkness, receives his sight, and boldly testifies to what God has done despite being rejected by religious leaders. In response, Jesus seeks him out, reveals His identity, and receives his worship, showing that true vision leads to a deeper relationship with Christ. The sermon calls believers to walk as children of light now—enduring trials, obeying God’s word, and standing firm—while looking ahead to God’s Kingdom, when all darkness and blindness will be removed.
